  1. yes keep tryin mate i asked a farm two weeks back he was out so left my number with his wife,rang him a few nights after and he was wanna them"i like the wild life"......anyways a bit of luck reall. i was telling my neibough about it and she said he is a tennent farmer and that she was good freinds with the landowner.she phoned him for us and he said no problem.he doesnt get on with the tennent anyway.so i kill all his wildlife now haha joke.hes got chickens anyway so i dont take the birds up there,just go on with the dogs and ferret and keep away from the farm area.im gunna wait till next sea

  3. i agree with smiles40,put the manners on it from an early age,they can be lil ba$*ards when they want and/or if you allow them(especially half crosses)...its in there blood,they got real character.but once they get the jist of wrong and right,there usaly loyal for life.............also if this helps a good fun game for a pup is to introduce it to a rabbit skin get it feelin the fur in its mouth,then (out of site of the pup) hide the skin somewhere in your house or garden and ask it to find it!its good exercise for the nose & will benefit later when working in the field.try not to over do i

  6. hi, ive heard chocolate is a good bait for rats and squrriels.has anyone tried it?ive had a rat come in from the fields and get under my shed over early xmas.i bolted it with the ferret for my dads harris.since then i run the ferret under evry now and then usually before a day out!.i now set a cage trap and blocked all the holes,no sign of any rat todate,also what method would you use to despatch the rat in/from a live trap.?
