Hello all. just after some information on cleaning hmr 17 , herd diffrent things off people saying it should be cleaned after 10 shots and others saying every 50 shots . I clean the gun after being out with it but dont want to carry cleaning rod into feild. never had this trouble with 22. Any information would be much appreciated thanks

MY self and picaxe made some last year but did somthing wrong with the recipe, it wasnt right couldnt drink it. but it was good for cleaning slabs

IT looks like pretty much like badger damage, had a few lambs on the fields in the morning without heads. only very young lambs also had there bellies pulled out. A fox would take lambs back to earth

Has any one in the chester area lost aharris hawk.I was working in chester friday afternoon by the post house roundabout between the bp garage and the park and ride bus stop and there was this tame harris siting in a tree, i say tame the bird came to us within 20ft and just sat there .this bird still had jesses on it. I dont know much about falconry but i dare say some one who knows abit about it would be able to catch it.looked about for some one flying birds no one about,dare say some ones lost it ,it might possible that some one on this site might know of this loss. Snaring salmon is quite difficult getting the right light the flow of the water tryed it a few times only succsesful once. Its a lot easer with a gaff.

I have been to court twice about my terrier killing neigbour s cat .As the law stood last year if your dog kills a cat on your property if your dog is fenced in and cannot get out a cat is classed as fair game provided you are the home owner . I got in trouble last year had to get solisiter but it rangled in court for 2 sittings got off with an apoligy I had to show a little remorse. I bought a new gun a 20 bore missed the end of the shooting season so the first foggy night saturday i went on the crows at 4 oclock sitting quiat in the wood they started to come in to roost 2 shots missed all. all ,quiat for half an our then they started to come in but mainley pidgeon I shot 16 pidgeon and 8 cows and a jay in 20 mins not bad for 27 shots went home very pleased cleaned the gun and went for a good drink.
