    The pub is down Hastings way i think. I remember when they bought the track & kennels off of V Ford, they came down with just over three hundred odd thousand cash in two carrier bags Its a tough one when starting up but if i was you at first i would try & do a deal in relation to how many times they have to put the hare around.     Spent many a Sunday at Blindley Heath giving the greyhounds a run. The private betting trials held in the 70's & 's were something else, amazing ammounts of cash bet & it was only worth competing if you had a very good dog.It was a shame the Crittendons couldn't getting permission to run the place as a flapping track when they bought it, the place would be a goldmine. I went to a few whippet/lurcher meetings run by Ted Fox & the odd one on a Saturday run by Thameside lurcher club. When it got sold on again the owners put a great deal of money into getting it back into shape

    I've ordered half a dozen times of the past few years, got caught for import duty twice. They do have sizing charts on the site to check & i've never had any problems with orders.

    No i haven't been there & i have been to some decent circuits, that is why i wrote "most" & not all I do know full well though the reputation some of the Scottish flaps have had over the years for top class sprinters & the place to be if you want to get a lot of money on.

    Whilst flapping tracks can be used for schooling youngsters, flaps & schooling tracks are two different things. Unfortunately most flaps are terrible circuits & coupled with the fact that the bookies have to bet to very high overrounds in graded racing its not very appealing to me.

    Over the past few months a few strange things(putting it mildly) have occured on a smallholding that a mate & i have permission on. The perpetrator was finally caught in the act on Monday & has now made the local news :sick: We have been down as much as posible trying to catch him but due to work can only get there very late in the evening. ANIMAL charities and farm workers have condemned a spate of sick animal attacks which are believed to have left two sheep dead.     Judging him on his last fight against James Thompson i can't see him lasting too long against half decent opposition. Saying that him being one of Elite XC' crowd pullers i'm sure he will be looked after.     Emptying peoples bins out all over the place but thats only due to folk being lazy, the thing i think that pisses most folk off is when foxes shit in their gardens & on kids toys. Quite a few folk round my way keep chickens or ducks in their gardens which get taken along with pet rabbits at all times of the day. A high percentage are rough looking if not mangey.

    Plenty of folk in towns put out food for them. There are always arguements in the local rags between those that want rid & those that see no harm in them. These were taken on a grass verge right in the centre of town

    Its been announced today that the track has been sold for development & will be closing in a few months time.
