  1. The pic was from 5 years ago.
  2. My bull thing worked well with the lurched, the lurcher has gone now but the old bull thing is still knocking on, it's all nose drive for him, there has been a fox yard in front of us on a lamp and he ran the other way because he could smell one up wind.

  4. Just to clarify, the ferrets are experience in their jobs and no baby rabbits/nests dug to, In fact no digging at all. Also, no ticks or fleas found. After 20+ years at the ferreting game I think I'm well qualified to make a decision about when and where I choose to ferret. Thanks to all the supportive comments. As an aside, we had nests in December here.
  5. Divi,s?? Well, no nettles and 3 clean rabbits in the long note, down on the marshes it was lovely with a sea breeze. Ferrets stayed on point with no problem. Only out for an hour so a nice morning all in all. Not sure what your negative post was all about but best of luck with your season.
  6. Well it's that time again, landowner asked for me to have a crack at the rabbits in the drainage ditches this weekend so that's my season started. After a dramatic escape of 5 of my 7 ferrets this month I thought I was off to a poor start, however, thanks to the power of social media I have all 5 back. Hopefully that's a good sign of things to come. I have been let down at the last minute by me protege for this year, I don't think his heart was in it, so off on my own with the older Jill's and nets to see how I get on. I'll let you know how it goes.
  7. Loads of people are hunting sheppy this season, most of the people I've spoken to in the last couple of weeks have something over there. Me included lol.
  8. I'm in Medway too chaps, small world eh?
  9. Thanks for the comments chaps. Hopefully out again this weekend. The weather reports are good so far.
  10. . Which part of Kent are you in mate?
  11. Out on a farm only 15 mins away today, we didn't have high hopes due to the gale force winds. We ended up with a bag of 11 today, 4 clean bolts, 7 digs. Weather was windy but not too bad, the Mk3m locator is worth its weight in gold. We had 8 from the derelict farm buildings and 3 from the ditch. Really happy with my new polecat Jill. First time out, never worn a collar, and entered 1st time, no messing and found/stopped a rabbit. Very happy, just 4 more new ones to try out.
  12. Wanted, ferrets in Kent, can travel, Jill's required, also a couple of small hobs. Purse nets required also. Many thanks, LD13
