as this will be your first fac application then your certificate will be of a closed type . on application you will only need one named farm to shoot on which is fac rated by gwent police , the land owner will have to give you permission to use his name and address to apply . once you have your certificate then you can shoot on any land which has been approved by gwent police for fac`s as long as you have the landowners permission . you will however have to contact gwent police who will confirm the land is rated for fac and a letter of confirmation will then be sent to you . after a period of

even though you phone the police to let them know your going out it doesn`t meen they won`t turn up if they have a call from the public . the police have a duty to respond to any call from the public once they have a report involving a firearm . if they didn`t respond and a crime was committed could you imagine the investigation and public out cry that would follow ? give the police another call and explain what happened , you may get a reason for the visit and may even get an appology . if you are approached in the future you must remember to unload and lay the gun safely on the ground right
