    I got £1.75 a rabbit last season as rabbits were thin on the ground down here so game dealers were paying top money for ferreted rabbits.Don't know what it will be this season. On payed jobs we get price per rabbit to get rid of them. Only probs is by the time me & my old partner split the money, the fuel,etc. its not enough to pay your bills on.

    Think they'd make a good cross for ferreting. I personally would put a first cross back to the whippet to get a 3/4 cross.

    What is the best wormer for lungworm? & can you get of the internet or do you have to get it from the vets? Anybodys dog had it? & Whats the symptoms? (either than the ones already on the web)?

    I can't understand this, Thats what whippets are known for, quick on the turns. I've run my whippets with a friends Pure Saluki's and they couldn't match the whippets on the tight 180-360 degree turns. I've got a saluki x greyhound and she's the same, Sagar my whippet turns her in knots when there messing about. Sagar is quicker than the saluki x grehound over 25-30 yds in a straight line, but after that it's all one way. I agree. Mine are the same!

    The collie cross is not for me. Have had them in years gone by & although i'm assured that good ones exsist,i,ve never owned or seem a good one run on the lamp. Now ferreting is a different thing altogether,all my collie crosses made great ferreting dogs & i've seen alot that are really good. Its horses for courses.

    Totally the opposite.I've a whippet/grey with a bit of bull & she's as silent as the grave. She was bred by stupot from moochers.Great little bitch fast,bright,natural retriever,good feet,coat & stamina for this type of cross. My mate got a beddie whip cross & although he is good he has some faults,he opens up at times,won't retrieve& can be hard mouthed. Just my experience.
