  1. I think they are just a new "breed" to make more money and has very little to do with Jack Russells. I wouldn't waste my money for such a thing. In case you'd have to pay for it and the parenst are not prooven workers, why don't you just choose another mongrel from a shelter? Same result. ATB, Anna anna the parson russel is a mongrel just like the small type russel just because the money grabbing akc recognizde it, it dont make it any better because its got a bit of paper stating its a pedigree. even tho it aint No breed was fallen fromn the sky, that's clear. 2. My choice: (5 months of age on the pics) and: Both are smaller sized Parson Jack Russells (or call them however). The above is a dog, is about 12.5"-13" (more than 1 year of age) and the bitch is about 12" or even a bit under (more than 3 years of age). Great dogs - for any work choosen. ATB, Anna edited to write the ages

  4. It's nice to be wanting another dog next to your one, but why having a pup from a dog that isn't really the quality to be bred? I advise you to get a dog from prooven parents (and when the sir has both testicles) and get this dogie castrated. When mating a dog "for free" you don't get any pup from the littet. When asking for a pup from a litter, it doesn't called "for free". I wonder if you find someone to use your dog, but if yes, you wil spread this trait (of cryptorchide) and will actually make ambitious people's thing very hard when they think they have a good dog and they realis
  5. Yes, it is genetic and the dog will pass it on. ATB, Anna
  6. I castrated 2 PRT males, but they didn't change in their behaviour. One was bit more than 1 year old, the second was about 3. I sadly can not say if their desire to work has been changed due to the castration, as they were castrated because they were not interested in work at all. (Were like chihuahuas from this point of view.) But I know someone that adopted a 1 year old PRT male (now he is more than 2), which was castrated at about 7 months of age and he is just an excellent worker! ATB, Anna
  7. I'm not sure if I understood it right, do you mean if the dog will be as "firy" in work as he had both his balls? What I can say is that my 3 years old bitch is castrated when and she is just the same temperament in work as before. ATB, Anna
  8. They used to give hormon injection to the dog and than it used to fall down. If it stays "up there" it may cause health issues. Edited to write that it don't always comes down from the injection. ATB, Anna
  9. Thank you very much, Waidmann! Where the demokracy is in this law?? I'm happy to live in Hungary, where we can still dock our dogs or them with long tails - just as we wish. ATB, Anna
  10. Very nice dogs mate! Best of luck with them! How old the "pup" is? ATB, Anna
  11. Waidmann, is that only for swiss people, or if I would go to live there I could not take my docked dog with me, could I? ATB, Anna
  12. Before taking your dogs please check about the docking ban in Switzerland! As to my knowledge docked dogs are not allowed to be taken to the country. But I'm not sure about it, maybe it is only for swiss citizens. ATB, Anna
  13. I'm pretty concerned they are closely related. At the beginning Irish terriers were coming in more colours, but at the KC they decided that it mush be red with a very little white patch allowed at the chest. ATB, Anna
  14. Some pics of KC Irish terriers in work: http://irterrier.hu/gal/munka/ Quite some of the hungarian stock go to working homes. ATB, Anna
  15. When you have the photo on the net, you click on it to have it in big (normal) size, you make a right click on your mouse, choose "Properties" and then you copy the "Place" or URL of the picture. You come here and press on the icon of the hill with the sun (the 5th icon from the left right above the text box), you delete what is written there and copy the place or URL of your pic. That's all. Anna
  16. You need to upload the pics to a photo album on the net. For example photobucket.com And you copy the URL of the pic to here. ATB, Anna

  23. the KC also dropped the ....jack.....so they are just parson russells. the name was to similar to the cheaper version so it had to be dropped to get the price up Not really. The FCI separated the breed "Parson Jack Russell terrier" into 2 breeds as the height range was way too big and this isn't tolerated by the FCI. The one under 12" (30.5 cm) got the name Jack Russell terrier and the one over 12" got the name Parson Russell terrier. ATB, Anna sorry panna if i'm wrong. but over here there is only the parson russell registered with the kennel club of great b
  24. Did you realise of what you asked in your first post: Well, actually no more dogs in the house, so he will not kill any once again. ATB, Anna
