I am thinking of getting one donnyc i have had a scot trak on hire before and they always break down, I have got a softrak on hire next week , well i piked it up 2 days ago and i was driving it up a hill and it was over heating so they have sent me up a new thermostat for it and i could fit it, The bloke i got it off has had it sitting in a yard for 6 months not doing anything with it so waiting to see once a fit the part it will do the job, How do you get on with them ?

I have a Land Rover 110 hard top good work horse this is my forth one now my last done 250000 miles . I use mine every day for work fencing up hills in scotland and would not get any other you can not beat land rovers for hard work.

Hi all I was wondering if any one has one of these i do now much about this rifle and would like anyones input on this please. Its a .308 and has a fluted barrel with built in muzzle break . And was wondering if theres any point putting a mod on it ? Cheers

I was wondering if any one has any input on the 7mm.08 for shooting at 600 meters on a rifle range and for knocking down a few deer. I do not now much about this calibre and dont know if its a better all rounder than the 308.

If you want a small and light scope try swarovski PV1 1.25-4X24 or a PV1 1.5-6X42 its small and light but dont know if magnification. There is a gun dealer up here with a new ones at not a bad price. Can not go wrong with a swarovski. -
This is true not to worried how flat they fly it just a mate saying the 270 would be better. I have not looked at a 30.06 yet i am still at the looking stage just now . I have not shoot a 308 yet but going what other people say. Thanks for your input has given me more to think about. Cheers

I was out stalking with a mate last weekend and he had a Sako 270 the a moderator . I was always put off with the recoil but with the mod it was not bad and this is my problem now i am in two minds about the 308 they seem both very similer in how flat they fly depending bullet weigth but the 308 has a far larger choice to choose from and easier to fine tune when i start reloading myself .But i am sure fine tune the 270 will be just as good . I really don't now on what one to go for ?.

Have you ever seen what fox can do i one nigth i have seen 17 lambs all bit behind the head all still lying there it kills for fun not just to feed . I have seen fox climb your 9 feet high fence if a fox wants in it will get in the best thing is to shoot them there is to many. Sorry but your fence idea does not work all the time.

I have had an old franchi had to get it put down good old gun. I would like some advice on whats out there and if any have any problems . I use it at the dens and hoody crows.

I might do a little long range target shooting up 600 m but it will be mostly red deer the heavy barrel is good for shooting 10 to 15 deer in a few minutes as some times demand on what i am doing .

I am thinking of getting a 308 rifle and looking heavy barrel for spot lighting and genral shooting . Also what round would be the best all rounder. I have a 2506 rugar m77 VT whitch i like shooting with and have no trouble with but would like a 308 aswell mybe?

I am looking for leica ultravid 8x50 i got price of R Macloed & sons in tain and they offerd me a set for £795 whitch i think is a good price and wondered if anyone had any thougths about this.
