Hola chaps looking for a little input on a rifle case. I have a crappy Plano hard case at the moment. Crappy as 1: its too long to fit across the back seats of my car. 2: its flimsy as f*%k no where near as good as the Flambeau cases. I have a hw98 and have just stuck an ND3 on top of the scope so need something thats wide enough to fit it in. I'm guessing that it won't fit into a std slip but could be wrong. ta Dave

I think its good value the referrals I get more than pays for the subs, all my paperwork is audited as is my storage etc and the auditor visits one of my contract sites to make sure im doing things by the book. As im a sole trader I can't afford to get things wrong. Much of the bad work that goes on is usualy by lads working for the larger companies. To them its just a job they may have no particular intrest in the work its just a way to pay the bills. All my bits of paper get me onto sites that I wouldn't be able to get on without, and thats where im trying to take my business. The pe

Been pesting for over 5 years now, I do just about hold down another job as well but am going to go full time next year now I have a decent customer base. I know very little about rural pesting, trapping and snaring etc and never get too involved with that side of the job as it just doesn't interest me that much. I do a bit but 90% of my work is public health pest control. Got scores of qualifications so far, doing the level 3 in april and then going to push on to field biologist level. Not because I will make more money but because I enjoy the biology / chemistry side of the job more

Giz a ring got a mole job for u Sutton In craven, lost ur number

This one was brand new. quality control piss poor in china I got these for a few quid each which is for nothing but half of the batch was no good. If you buy quality traps at least you know they will work. On a positive note I had a load of these harrowed by a farmer yesterday I would have been pissed off if they were genuine 7 quid traps

cheap mole traps .....

Both.... The training courses don't tell you how to do the job most just teach the biology / legislation etc, but I would not get anywhere near the amount of work I get without them.

This is a clip of the b&g in action, however this was its last outing it packed in at the end of this job.

Can't beat the victor rat traps but for mice I have always preffered the T Rex for mice, I'm now using the tomcat trap made by the same company, great little traps. Pm me your addy and I'll bung you a couple in the post.

Can't really remember much about it now I only remember the one thing that stumped me was something to do with rabbits teeth ? If you've been doing the job a while most of the questions you should be ok with.

I got hold of some back when I did mine from one of the other forums UKPCO I think not sure if it's still running tho not been on for a while. Ask on the ukpestcontrollers site I'm sure someone on there will have some. Don't concentrate too much on them tho i got talking to a guy before we sat the exam who had revised from old papers and none of the questions he knew came up in the exam. I just sat the exam without doing the course and thought it was easy but I guess I just revised the right bits Good luck

And if all the local guys are part timers working for nothing? How much do you need to earn to pay the bills? If your going to make minimum wage you may need to turn over let's say £500 quid a week. I know lots of pest controllers and 90% of them don't make anything near that figure. The only ones I know who make a wage are the lads who can sell. Unless you have the gift of the gab or are very good at marketing you will struggle to make a living. But It's the same as in any business I suppose. The companies selling the training will tell you that you will make a fortune.... T

Living in a big city I don't get much work on farms and to be honest I wouldn't want it. I had 30 traps down last week on site in the dales, covered in mud and freezing cold not my idea of fun, did make a fair few quick off it tho and considerably more than £10 a mole
