Got to agree with rabbithunter horses for courses. If I’m doing a lot of small warrens then I have one Jill that I use for this job alone, she’s great at it very quick and doesn’t seem to hang around. If I’m working a hedgerow then I have a hob, which is exalent at the job, he will just work his way up the hedge alone no entering required. So definitely horses for courses.
  2. If you English work so many hours why are you clogging up are roads at 1.30pm every Friday???
  3. I use mine for rats and when ever give ‘the call’ you know we all have one they go mental and would more than likely kill any thing. And that is why I never let mine go hunting with out me, and all have been trained from day one not too. So I would imagine if you do the same no snake probs. sadly I lernt this the hard way my first dog had to be put down to avoid court :realmad: after he killed neighbours presious cat in their own home!! Bits every where...hell of a mess.
  4. Fluo green crap, which is over rated and over priced! That works for people who are too lazy to drag a spinner or cant cast in tight spots! ………………………………….I would never leave home with out it!!! :11:
  5. I have a 'polecat' Jill which I rescued off a bloke in a pub you know the type of bloke seen it all and caught the lot! She was in a bad way when I picker her up 2 years ago and after a lot of rabbits she started to look really good and this summer I have had a litter out of her and she is an amazing mother but a total bitch to handle even before she gave birth it was a hit and miss affair. And I have handled her daily for the past 2 years so if she really is a true polecat as the bloke claimed I would rather not bother with them again. BUT…. She is very small (again a preference
  6. If you get some moon light you cant beat a silver spinner its deadly at night! Or you can tape a night light( those rod tip green toxic things) to a hevy tube fly works well on swollen rivers to. Other than that big fresh lobb worms are hard to beat and leave 'em long and a little slice at the ends to let the juce out lovly! and if your using barbless hooks use a single maggot to stop the worm wriggling its way off the hook. Tight lines and let use know how you get on.

  12. Hello every one! This is my first time on here and its a little problem im having with my jack russel x. I noticed today after we had been out pushing rabbits in the tall grass that his eyes are sore and red. They are also a bit weepy just like hayfever do some dogs suffer from a kind of hayfever? His lips seem red as well. Does any one have any ideas on how to sort him out?
