  1. They are a commom pest and should be controlled as eat mostly all plants , crops etc... damage land , livestock , fencing etc... And great fun to shoot and catch lol

Thanks glad everyone likes it , ha ha everyone wants to no the way to make the bow back , Secret !! lol No all i did was get my self some quarter inch ply that was damp so it would bend a little then i cut little thin slits in it every inch , a no this sounds abit of a bodge job but it works great for curving it and its still solid and ok to sit on , had another box made the same way and sat on it for years good solid job . Going to put some catchs on ar some flick down latches on to hold the lids down haven't got round to it yet . Was thinking of asking the local lads see if they wanted any m
  3. Yerrrr i agree with the strap being wider , but its the only one i have at the moment , so i put it on i can change it wenever as its only nut and bolted on .
  4. Yerrr it turned out quite good a think am well pleased with it , can't wait to try it out . You should have ago yourself its great fun , only took me 2 nights to do it all .
  5. Went and put my seesaw traps out this afternoon , placed them in a big wood were theres plenty signs of squirrels . Baited couple with catfood to see if could get a stoat aswell, but wanting the squirrels mainly. Will keep you posted on how they go . Gazza
  6. I posted a post last week about ferret box pictures and designs , and i decided to make myself a new one . I had some spare plywood sheeting pieces around from work so i made it from that , i used half inch for my base as thats were its going to get its wear and tear so thought better be safe than sorry . then i made the rest sides, back, front etc.. from quarter inch ply , i decided that i wanted a bow back box that cud hold two large ferrets . Heres a few pictures for you lot to see . I decided to put a light stain on the box just so it looks tidy and original.

  8. Mines is a first cross bedlington /whippet shes just coming on now , caught her first rabbit the other day well pleased.

  10. I've only seen one ginger one before , but shot a few black rabbits , got this one onn sunday morning !!
  11. Well done , great get your first one , i've shot and caught loads over the years now , am 18 bin hunting sinse can remember , most i got in one day was 48 . Hope u have many more sucessful hunts .
  12. Went out for a half day ferreting today, was good day , ended with 14 rabbits .
  13. Just finished making 5 seesaw traps going to put them out 2morro and see if i get anything can't wait , they all look pretty good i think considering they made from scrap wood , will upload some pic's later and see [bANNED TEXT] people think .
  14. Can anyone tell me how to make one of these seesaw traps in detail and the measurements etc.. I have attempted making one , but found that if i place the piece of ply on the pivot point that when the end is down at the entrance of the trap in blocks out the light from the other end , were the mesh is , any help would be much appreciated . I have just recently bought a a realtree escort semi auto shotgun , its a real mean piece of kit i love it , was shooting clays with it yesterday was a fella infront of me on the machine he'd been shooting all of his life and he only got 2 out of 10 and i went on the trap after him and tryed the escort , it was brilliant i shot 8 out of 10 . Anyone who is thinking of getting one of these i'd recommend .

I have just recently purchased a semi automatic 12gauge realtree shotgun and i was wanting 2 do some crow decoying with it , i shoot on a driven pheasant shoot , and this year i am trying to help the keeper as much as possible i am making traps and catchers for him . But like i said i am wanting to do some crow decoying , if anyone has any info to give to me about crow decoying and shooting crows all round , any info would be appreciated , Decoys , Patterns, Hides, anything please , Thanks Gazza
  17. Has anyone got any idea's of home made squirrel traps , has anyone made any or anything , any info would be nice. As i'm trying to help my gamekeeper this year doing vermin control, but won't always have time for the gun . Any help would be nice, Thanks , Gazza

  21. Hey am 18 a lad , I come from Durham area , hunted all my life , got 2 dogs a bedlington terrier , bedlington cross whippet , got loads guns air rifles and shotguns and i also have 5 ferrets . I am well into it all , love it ! Just thought i'd say hi to all the young hunter's on here . Me the dogs and one of my guns !
  22. My Bedlington terrier a day on the moor's , ened the day with 38 rabbits . This is another of my Bedlington on a night out lamping. This is a pic of my Bedlington cross Whippet pup just out on a small run . And finally a pic of me with my air rifle and both the dogs on a afternoon out , near the old railway lines .
