  3. I will try to post a pic tomorrow but will probably need more help with that than the traps .I have worked out how to set them and now need help with the following. 1.how far from the warren? 2.best bait (bought a sack of carrotts) 3.how far apart to set them. Its a field approx 800yds long with holes everywhere.would it be better to do a bit at a time or spread the traps out. 4.do you need to wear gloves when baiting and setting? Appreciate any answers or tips. cheers Fielddweller

  7. Thanks for the info guys. The wood(about 500yd x 500yd) is surrounded by 4 crop fields,of which only 1 is my permission. There are no wire fences just wooden ones, which are mostly rotten. There are some lads who ferret on the 3 fields that arent mine so i dodnt really bother with the fences. I have tried a few snares on my fence, but most are set in runs.As for the amount of rabbits there is quite a few, plenty of scrapes and holes. Thanks again Fielddweller
  8. Hi Guys I am new to snaring although did a bit many years ago when i was alot younger, I dont have alot of permisson( small wood ) and can only set about 16 -22 snares. I usually set these about 1-2hours before dark and then check them about 1-2 hours after first light,on average I get one rabbit every 2-3 days.Is this a fair reward or am i doing something wrong? When i went as a kid we set loads and i mean loads so always got a few but i never thought about a ratio. Thanks ATB Fielddweller

  10. I used to lamp on a couple of golf courses, however the green keepers didnt allow dogs to be used.Which due to our STUPID disregard meant us losing permission on one of them. ATB Fielddweller

  15. Aircraft o2 has a slightly higher moisture content than diving O2. ATB Fieldweller will it do any damage if i use it in my pcp? Are you confusing air and oxygen? air has 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen, the O2 will probably be 100% which as the previous post said is very combustible when mixed with non hydro carbon oils/grease.I cant see why you would want to use 100% ?
