  1. I know, in my line of work I have to portray a hard image but I crumble when one of my team goes. Still it's the way of life.
  2. Just got home after a trip to vets with my wife's hob ( Badger), found him collapsed in his run at 7.30pm blood from rear end, wife done her best to revive him as he was still breathing, but became worse & worse, vet put him to sleep. A great old hob, good at Rabbits & great with people & the dogs, I know he was just a ferret but tears have been shed.
  3. He is a big lad, he worked well for 3yrs before I used him for breeding. He's 6 now & lives a life of leisure & he is very gentle with people & great with the dogs & my wife's favorite.
  4. I certainly will, I used to go regularly with a chap who used his Harris Hawk, but the fuc#ing bird took more interest in my stinkers than the wabbits! I used to use mine for rats but they always got badly bitten, so just stuck to rabbit.
  5. That's a kind offer for someone on the lookout for a new stinker, pity there's not many of us ferret keepers in Brum!
  6. Good looking kits, where abouts in Brum are you? I'm over in Sutton. Do my ferreting over in Stonall & Brownhills way, when I lived in Acocks Green used to do some of the allotments in yardley.

  8. Spark hill used to be a sound place to live , I grew up there & used to shoot over the Beasa(Ackers) many times, not that it would be tolerated now by our friends in government especially as it's mainly bandit country now.
  9. All of my Jill's are spayed & hunt without any problems.
  10. Welcome to the site, as above great to see another Brummie here.
  11. I know, I'm a community psychiatric nurse & have to visit many of them in Sparkhill? Breaks my heart how the area has become , as I grew up there yrs ago.Do you find there is a disproportionately high number in any of the communities, or is it just evenly spread out across all?Over the past 25 yrs I've worked in many of the inner city areas & to be honest if you look at the most prevalent ethnic origin in that area for any given time you will generally find they have a higher percentage of people with mental health problems by virtue of sheer numbers.

  17. We used it via wi-fi at first & it was pants, & yes our laptop was running great at the same distance, we went back to an Ethernet cable, retro, but it's helps a lot!
  18. We bought one from a chap at my tackle shop (£70) all apps pre loaded, & mrs kaiserdog has set it to auto update ( I think) she likes it for the new films and likes the B rate film. She told me to say if the film buffers a lot, play the film in MQ (medium quality), which sometime helps and film quality suffers little.
  19. Welcome to the site, good to have another Brummie here!
