    sounds like a worthy investment. i guess i notice the noise alot more because i'm used to silenced pcp. i'm setting up a rifle club locally, so once i get off the ground i'll give it a go with a silencer. probably will have a mod shop setup within club as well.

    nice. do you get much noise from the piston? i have a .22 pcp, and when i bought the smk, i'd never had a .177 before, i'm happy with it, its good for the pigeons, makes head shots a little bit easier due to smaller slug. the .22 is better in wind though.

    A silencer on a smk19, is this effective? i have an smk 19 .177, with 3-9x40 tasco on, and i can kill out to 35 yds, watch the wind though. get yourself familiar with the trajectory of your pellets, and the effect different windspeeds will have, and take the time to zero properly, using lazers is ok, but pellet trajectory isnt flat, and its different for each type/weight of pellet. i'm not dissing using lazer bore sights, but i find i get to know my rifle better when i've spent time on it, zeroing and marking the fall of the round. everyone is different so, kill at what range you feel comf

    But you then still need the charging kit.... i have an s200 mkII and its an great piece of kit. i've had it 3 years or so, and i wouldnt change it for anything. it serves its purpose, and its affordable which is what swung it for me. a good second hand bottle can be picked up from ebay for not a lot, and you're on your way. my old man had an s400, and he was itching to swap.... s200 is extremely light, and easy to maintain. by far he best entry level pcp on the market today.     Hello!! well here i am, i've been shooting for about 10 years, unfortunately all my gear has been laid up for sometime as i have just done a stint in Afghanistan. So, no permission, no shoot, and no club at the moment..... I have two prized rifles, one Air arms s200, which has the ten shot magazine, and an SMK19, which, for a cheap rifle is extremely accurate and effective. I am hoping to invest in another rifle soon, probably another springer, .177. the smk is awesome for the pigeon roosts, whilst the s200 is good with rabbits. i love my guns, air rifles especially, whilst at work i have
