if you are comfortable with the assembly and disassembly, the xs's are easy enough to self tune. i got mine to 11.5lbs just polishing and regreasing with some quality products......
-
If we are being really fussy the actual units are (ft lbs), not (ft/lbs) or (fps) etc and they are units of energy not pressure. Just to clear things up Fussy a$$ !!
-
ft/lbs = pressure fps = speed you can determine the pressure by taking pellet weight in grains, x speed in feet per second x speed again / 450240 (i think this is right, might have to check) this will then give you the pressure. for .22 with 14 grains, you expect around 590fps and .177 with 9 grains, around 780fps. there are plenty of pellet charts on this forum, if you're having trouble drop us a PM and i'll email you some good ones over. it is not illegal to own a weapon capable of FAC, as long as it is below 12ft/lbs. Once it is over that, FAC is required. WB

Weekly meets: Kingsway Hotel 145 Kingsway, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL16 5HS - 01706 646259 thursday 7-9.30pm. hope to see some of you there!!! WB

Rochdale AGC is open for use from March 2009, any one local, come down have a look, have a shoot, we are a bit basic at the moment until we get on our feet, and with the help of the NWFTA that shouldnt be too long. the facility is on a private farm, so attendance is with a committee member only, the open day is TBC, but word needs to get around, media attention is being generated, but its down to the local guys to come down and show their faces. All welcome, PM or rochdaleagc@yahoo.co.uk for more info. WB

i would highly recommend you get yourself a good spring rifle as well, needs nothing but lead and a good arm, but will also teach you proper application of fire. i wouldnt recommend a PCP as a first rifle to anyone. welcome all the same, and i hope you enjoy the site, there's a lot of info on here. Gents, i have just spoken to the site manager at moss mill in regards to the proposed unit for the indoor range. The cost of this is far too much to begin with. Therefore the option of an outdoor facility has been considered and Wuzzy and i are currently getting this together. details of our first meeting are soon to follow, anyone interested in being an integral part of the club's administration should contact either wuzzy or myself by PM. prospective members, or anyone who wants to come down and check us out should email rochdaleagc@yahoo.co.uk look forward to seeing you all. if they're cheap enough mate give them a try, remember, the consumer act says if you are not satisfied with a product you are legally able to return it, in original packaging, to the place you purchased for a refund or exchange. keep your receipt, and make sure it is as new if you do return it, that way you can exchange for something better. nothing lost. anyone who refuses you this right can be prosecuted by trading standards. however, i use a number of jsr scopes, which are also cheap, and they are just as good as my tasco and ags scopes..... IM ACTUALLY BUYING THIS TO REPLACE A TA

Can't beat the good old springers, they absolutely cannot be replaced. PCP has its applications, but a springer relies on elbow grease and you supplying it with slugs. you just cant possibly learn to shoot with a PCP, like i have said previously, it doesnt have the zest or the appeal to young shooters that a spring gun does. feel the kick, follow the shot until target, thats how i was taught. i think springers are still by far in the lead when it comes to the choice for a first rifle.

thats unfortunate..... i'm working on acouple like this myself.

thats very open, whats the forest like at the back?

well, its not for everyone.

hi Mate, there are various posts on here about this, have a look in air rifle reviews and the air arms s200 post for some ideas. i have a s200 with 10 shot mag and i cant complain, but its not everyone's cup of tea, so the best thing is to go to the shop and try a few, see which one suits you. WB
