    Hi mate is this specific to .243? How much kit would I have to change if I wanted to load .223?

    Against another gun from the same shop I would think about £350 - £400 to be honest but a lot will depend on the gun your part exchanging it for, he will make different levels of profit on different guns.

    Regardless of what power a rifle can put out the issue is simple. If the anti Tamper pins are intact then the rifle is sub 12ftlbs you have no problems. However if the anti tamper pins have been removed or indeed tampered with other than the condition they were in when they left the factory then you are in possession of a Section 1 firearm, even if the power is sub 12ftlbs when taken for testing. The anti tamper pins/screws need to be intact for the gun to remain legal!

    I was watching 1 on Ebay but its upto £84 with £7 postage so if I won it at £86 it would cost £93. Theres 1 in my local Lidle for £119 and I'll get a 5 year warranty for that!

    They're very similar and most are mistaken for feral pigeons. Quite rare to see Stock Dove. Great pic!

    If the public believe we have 6ft man eating wild cats running around then I reckon we'll soon see them begging the government to bring back hunting !! So we should all start agreeing that this is proof of big cats

    What amuses me is that the top wildlife film makers can travel to any part of the world and film some of the rarest and most incredible difficult to find animals on the planet. Yet none of them have been able to track down a 6ft black cat living on a small highly populated island! The only footage that ever exists is blurred and distant. I would love to believe we have these cats living amongst us. But having spent over 30 years shooting, lamping, walking and working in the countryside, I've never seen one.

    I take it you haven't seen many foxes fella ............. Hundreds possibly thousands. look at th etail and the shape of the head. Its a fox.

    Excellent Post Matt and I completely understand your concern with some on the "inside" suggesting additional legislation, Perhaps for me, its just born out of the frustrations of seeing these incidents unfold and then finding out that the "System" was to blame but its the shooting community that takes the flak. Lets just hope and prey these incidents become increasingly rare .

    Matt, Obviously I understand the consequences of additional burden but all too often after such incidents we hear that family, friends neighbours etc all saw the warning signs and in some cases even informed the police. This highlights a definite failing in the system somewhere. All I'm suggesting is that if the current system is failing than surely other avenues should at least be investigated. I'm not proposing that the suggestion I made in my previous post is the answer. But debate is healthy and if anything can reduce the number of these incidents in the long run it can only be a good thi

    That would mean you handing in your ticket for certain drugs you maybe had to take for minor illnesses, like lets see STEROIDS pill form or cream application ...They could turn you into a raving shotgun wielding lunatic...Ahhh caffeine tobacco alcopoppers aspirin ...Get the idea....... No thats nonsense. I'm talking about a system that can potentially pick up the signs that someone is slipping into mental illness, not removing someones guns because they are taking penicillin!
