I would just keep them both if you have the space for 2 extra kennels cause there will come a time when they will fall out. both look like crackin pups I have 2 brothers that are border/lakey x parson which were fine in the same kennel till about a year old when they fell out big time and made a hell of a mess of each other. you cant have two many subs mate if you have the work keep them both as already said they cost feck all to keep and dont take up alot of space. ATB with the lads. Steve

What dya think of this course?
Steve McHardy replied to Powell93's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Good course i did myself also, you can change estate each year if you want to and get different experience. my 1st year i did mainly pheasant and partridge with a bit of stalking and i reared and released some Red Grouse onto the moor. My 2nd year i did mainly Grouse with a lot more stalking and no pheasant or partridge. how did the reared and released some Red Grouse go? did they take to the ground? it will only work if you have a zero or very small resident population there was only a few brace on the moor where i was. I was only there for my NC year but what i heard was that -

time for at bit of back to basics mate get out with the dummy just you and the dog. get the dog to sit and throw the dummy keep the dog sitting and pick the dummy youself do this a good few time sound like the young un have just been throwing the dummy/ ball watever repeatedly as soon as he brings it back and not making him wait for the retreive command. and dont take the 2 out together. try asking rickyspiringer on here for some advice as he is the spaniel man. in future if the youngsters have to exercise the dogs tell them to keep them on the lead. cheers hope this helps. atb Steve

sorry mate i dont agree with that at all,if i miss with my 1st shot i would want to correct it with my 2nd, i wouldnt be looking to rush the 2nd shot any more than the 1st, which ever way the bird is nealy allway's going to be further away hence the tighter choke, there would be exceptions of course if the bird keeps coming towards you, as a type of driven bird but i think the %'s would be far less, anyway my main point was dont read to much into your choking, your swing, mounting and stance are far more important them maybe start thinking about chokes and patterns. atb daz i do most of my
