  1. the crow gets it first for me every time! my permissions are livestock farms (sheep mostly) so when they take time away from pecking eye's of lambs etc they are eating out the feed hoppers whilst SH****NG over the feed before flying to the nearest birds nest for egg feasts! good thread. regards P

  6. you could also try mounting the lamp on top of your scope. keep at them the only way to get better at fieldcraft is to practice....... then practice some more......... once you think your getting better practice a bit more. you'll get there. regards and best of luck P
  7. i am in scotland and had a similar issue but just tied a knot big enough to stop the eyelet in the correct place. easy to do on fence wires but a wee bit more work on fence wires. the scottish government are voting on the 2nd march to ban snaring in scotland. wouldnt go spending much £ on snares untill after the vote. regards P

  9. as above! we get a night shooting license every year for the last four years. we have to get the deer commission (nearly defunct now) to come check out our land and issue and as stated have named individuals on the license. you cant shoot from a vehicle. it is also possible to get an "out of season license" and a "follow on" license. they permit the shooting of ANY deer within the time scale of the license and to "follow" deer onto your neigbours land up to 1 mile to shoot. they are rare and in exeptional circumstances! if you get a copy of the deer commision annual report you can se

  12. great write up! sp from me! i got one of these about aug/sept last year and have wondered since then how i managed without it. we lased a few prominent points at most of our static positions and had some interesting result. even with pacing out in the past we were way wrong with some distances. maybe ask the mods to pin this sort of reveiws for others to find easily??????? regards P

  16. hi i have to agree with the above. that would be perfect for me.......... that said i have had some great nights when conditions are "poor" and poor night when conditions are perfect! get out there and see what there doing in different weather/light conditions. regards P
  17. hi i have the led lenser P7 its a superb light........................... on my air rifle. I would probably use it for a rimmy (havent tried it yet but am going to) its great out to about 150 m. dont think i would bother trying it on the center fire. regards P

  21. hi there, with the owl decoy set up it helps alot if you can master the "crow caller". i am pretty sure that the crow busters web site has calls on it one of which is the "fighting call". it works well if you can do it. the crows love a good scrap so can come steaming in sometimes! all wound up and ready for a suprise. good luck regards P
  22. hi i have a semi and a bolt action. the semi i got many years cheap of a guy that was emigrating it hates .22 subs so i told feo that one was for subs and the other was used for high velocity ammo. passed no probs and had them both for years now and they never ask anymore! regards P
