  1. A Vet can only treat the symptoms. If the dog has something more seriously wrong with it, it may require further or different treatment. Everything isnt as easy as people seem to think it is. If you are not satisfied that the vet has acted ethically, there are ways to go about correcting it, moaning about it wont help. I did this with my last Vet, I was not happy with the things they suggested, I moved Vets the same evening. They transfer all details immediately so the new vet can see whats gone on. I certainly wouldnt have kept forking out money if I was sure the Vet wasnt doing the b
  2. A vet can only go on presented symptoms. There may be issues with a dog that cannot be treated successfully without further investigation. Some GI infections do not respond to broad spectrum anti biotics. Sometimes dogs need further tests to determine the cause of their problems and the best course of action and treatment to take. It annoys me when people complain about Vets. Would you prefer to let your dog suffer? Or take the correct route? If you are not satisfied, go somewhere else.

    Big Cats.

LOL LOL LOL. This old chestnut again.
  4. You should never CLIP a Terrier. Clipping ruins the coat. You should hand strip them when they need it. Clipping will destroy the top coat and will become soft and not weatherproof over time. Use finger and thumb, or a BLUNT stripping knife. Take everything behind the eyebrows off. Trim feet etc.. with scissors.

  8. Second vaccination? Like 12 weeks or so? It can be 14mths or so before a second testicle descends, its absolute rubbish for your vet to state that by second vaccination time both should be down. With regard to one being retained permanently. They can cause issue in later life yes, and they do. Testicles are retained outside the body because they need to maintain a lower temperature. The body temp does alter them and can render them cancerous, of course it may be too late when you find this out.

  15. We havent had food out for about 4 weeks. We bought more on Thursday and by this morning they are heaving with Goldies. They always come in big flocks and are doing again. The Woodies are a damn nuisance, they are more like Ducks now, the size of them. We shoot as many as possible and it could be 6/7 a day some days, but as many appear again in hours!
