    Road walking will help but with a hare footed breed its often not the total solution. I use a dremel. I have a dog that hated clippers but with the dremel he is fine.

    I use Stewart and Partners, Dudley and Tipton. After 20 odd years with another practice, I couldnt be more happy with both the cost and the treatment. they dont employ "kids" either!!!

    You are absolutely correct, unfortunately ANY Pit Bull owned now must be in the wrong hands, as they have been illegal here for many years.     Was thinking more about the wet concrete, especially in this weather, its not easy to keep them dry. I think straw is fine and Im sure your dogs are kept very well, but in my experience in the boarding kennels, dogs that wee everywhere have sometimes had very sore paws due to standing in it, the Vets have said that the urine acidity burns them making them soft and sore, was thinking along the same lines with your dogs?

    It usually suggests the dogs are in constant wet conditions. If there is urine there, this can burn through their feet too, likewise strong disinfectant.

    Does he cough before he collapses? Grade 2 murmur is nothing, its VERY unlikely he would ever suffer ill effects from it. Could he have lung worms?

    Has she been spayed? If not and has been in season in the last 2 moths, Id say VET ASAP, could have Pyometra and it WILL kill her if not treated quickly. Dogs dont usually drink a lot when they have cystitis, its usually seen as bitch trying to wee all the time and not doing much but they do wee blood.

    and if he had av bred it any younger he'd av been called a peddler ... you cant win with some people. If he'd of kept her having "used" her for his own purposes, nobody would of said anything would they? These are living animals, it looks like this will be at least her 4th home if he sells her including her breeder. How sad.
