  1. No they dont yap as far as I can remember, Ill take more notice next time for you. They are VERY quick sprinters, but from memory, only average the same as an Afghan over a longer distance, but are much quicker over a shorter distance.
  2. Some great set ups folks. This was mine, I dont have any Ferrets now, but due to its size and adaptability, I use it for my Cats.
  3. There are a few running at the racing lately and the two points that stand out are that they can never catch them, sometimes it takes 20 minutes! and the other is that many of them are VERY dog aggressive. If you intend to work them, bare in mind their skin is VERY thin, it rips very easily. They dont seem to lack drive though, here are a couple from last month.
  4. Some really nice stuff on there Darryl, nice work.
  5. A couple examples for you. This was shot at F/8, all the foreground is in focus and just the very back isnt. This was shot a F/2.5, as you can see just the very front of the image is in focus, concentrating on the cats head.
  6. This is a very easy to understand guide to the controls and capabilities of a digital camera. It will be really helpful for you. http://www.canon.co.jp/imaging/enjoydslr/part1/1B.html Apertures work on "f" numbers A large aperture of say f/2.8 will be wide open, and an aperture of f/22 will be a small aperture. Larger f numbers will mean the fore and background is more in focus, whereas a lower f number (wider open aperture) will mean a more blurry background for example. The wider open the aperture the faster the camera will perform. Depending on light of course, but generally
  7. As above, I have bought a new camera and grip and am offering the grip from my 40D for sale. Its in pristine condition, box like new, all paperwork etc.. £90 inc P&P
  8. Pointing: Waiting for the command: Retrieving: Squirrel control: Cant find any ratting pics, but to answer your question, yes, a terrier is very versatile if you put a bit of effort in.
  9. I posted some to somebody off here ages ago, didnt charge a penny, didnt cost anything to shoot it and just a stamp to post them!
  10. Its a great lens for the price Kay, seen some great shots with it. I have the f/2.5 macro 50mm, equally pleased.
  11. Canon 7D, you wont regret it!
  12. Yes they do, its also good when the hare breaks down in front of them and they carry on running!!!
  13. That's about 10 minutes away from me! I didn't even know it was still open ............. Is it a regular thing Dawn? I can't run my dog this time (because he was as near dead as it possible to be last week) but would deffo be interested in going again. Are the dogs muzzled to race? Yes SS, first Sunday in every month. Its the Afghan Hound racing, but any breed is welcome, they usually out number the Afghans! You can run your dog muzzled if you wish, alone or with others, most of the Lurchers are muzzled.

  16. thanks dawn thats what i was after, No probs, here is the one I have: http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=152683&Referrer=froogle You will need to buy the sanding rings like these: http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=121676 Cheap they are and the dremel will probably come with a few to start you off. Im doing a couple of my dogs tonight, I can try and do a video if you like if it would help you? I would also suggest you old your dogs feet, just massage them not play or annoy, but get the dog used to you touching his feet without any harm coming to hi
