  1. She probably is hungry. Smaller dogs have faster metabolisms than larger ones, if she has been more active or more "awake" than usual, or had more exercise, she may well be hungry. I always give my Terriers a bonio or something last thing.
  2. To catch out people who cant control their dogs? :whistling: (joking of course....)
  3. This was a genuine accident. My terriers live with 6 Cats, but would certainly give chase to any other outside. I do wonder though why the owner dodnt have better hold of the dog if its lead was still attached to it? Anyhow, I hope the dog makes a full recovery.
  4. http://www.gcnm.org/heatstroke.html Worth a read for all running dog owners.
  5. Now now boys, behave! I actually have 6! Cats that is!
  6. There were 5 Borders qualified, but I'm afraid I don't have access to the paperwork at present to say how many actually turned up on the day. Y.I.S. - Barrie Thanks anyway Barrie.
  7. Wouldnt be so sure about that, song birds they havent caught, but the brown one has taken several woodies, they leave the ground and then hit the overhang on the fence, Cat leaps up, job done! The small Birds fly up easily and the feeders are safely away from the Cats reach.
  8. They dont get off my property, none of my cats do. I have inverted fencing around the top of the fence all around the garden. They have a 12ft pen and run they go in if its fine too. I just googled BSH cats and it says that weights range between 9-18 pounds.......that would make that fat cat of yours 4 pound over weight..... Thats a guide not a rule! Do you think dogs all come in the same weight if they are the same breed? Think about that! Just one of MANY pieces from the net: Another: Only pulling your leg Dawn, really i am. No probs. I chose the breed for

  16. I'd put them on a diet.............. Then you'd be underfeeding them. The BSH is a heavy boned Cat that weighs more than my Terriers, the brown one weighs almost 22lb! Their coats are over an inch thick and stand off the body, they are not smooth haired cats. None of them are overweight, not even an ounce, I wouldnt dream of keeping unfit animals. You are forgiven for thinking they maybe though, and I appreciate your apparent concern.
  17. Peacock butterfly is a super shot, well done!!

  19. My 3 younger Cats. Red Tabby British Shorthair. "Moosey" Garfield lookalike! Chocolate Self British Shorthair. "Rowan" Cream British Shorthair. "Wiggy." I have a brown tabby Persian at 18, a moggy at 18 and a moggy at 21.
  20. Well Pets at Home MAKE Wainwrights food so Im not surprised they recommended it!! If she fits once every few months, Id be happy with that in an epileptic dog. Your vet is right not to want to medicate her, many wouldnt hesitate. Give these people a ring, they are super and will be able to help and advise you. http://www.canineepilepsysupport.co.uk/ This is also a good site. http://www.canineepilepsy.co.uk/
