I started training with one when one of my dogs was as a pup and the other when I got him at 7 months. I was told to start off in the house, call your dog and give a couple short pips and when the dog comes give it a treat and praise. If you do it a few times a day after a short time the dog will just come to the whistle. Then move to outside but not to far away with treats and plenty of praise. Try hidding and calling with the whistle make it fun. It took about a month for my 7 month old to get it. My Saluki x will bugger off on her own quite often and she will go further than I like but

Perfect answer I have a rescue and know that it might not work out the way I want but I am having fun trying, there are other ways to get rabbits but not many as rewarding as seeing a dog off the street happy and trying to prove it is a real lurcher. Look around there are some real nice dogs and pups and don't think it is the dogs fault it is a rescue it is usually some tw4t of an owner who fecks up and chucks in the towel (DOG) early. Don't tell them you want to work it though. Try and get a dog as young as possible or have some idea of the parents or previous owner or the nights guessin

I have never heard this before I thought a mongrel was a dog that had unknow parent or parents.

I was hoping it would have been better and was disappointed on the lack of technical info and the amount of actual detail they went into. It was better than East Enders though.

Great video. That finally makes sense of it and what's even better is your set up is almost exactly the same as mine except I have a fixed mag at x10 but looking at that I might swap scopes over and use x7 makes life real easy then. -

It's not the selling of eggs it's the trading. I had a serviced office for 6 months for 6 eggs a week. Our baby sitter will do a 7-12 shift for 6 eggs we have swapped eggs for wine, beers, veg, apples, venison, phesants and a duck. All worth a lot more than a few eggs once someone tastes real fresh free range they realise what they are missing and a trade is easy. It's easy to say wait but where we are the bushes are getting raided already so picked a kilo and stuck them in the freezer will get another if I can find them in after a frost or two and them will be able to compare next year.
