The best way i found to catch moles in traps was to fix a small hook onto the trap and put a worm onto the hook it did fail to catch but not very often

I remember the freeze ir only just we used to have a canal at the back of us and n the other side they made the blue invalid cars we pushed them onto the canal and had races up the canal for a week the only other abnormal weather i can recall was a heatwave in 1976 they called it an indian summer we thought it was a great time we could swim in the canal

just get a mild steel one and cover it with grease one end up its arris and one out off its mouth but make sure you wrap wire around it or you will loose most of it as it falls off you can weld a bike cog on one end and ut a chain on it to turn it and wire the motor to a 12volt battery

a windscreen wiper motor would work we have a manual one and while we clay shoot some sit next to the pig and turn the handle it takes about 5 hours to cook a decent pig but its a lot cheaper to buy them from the slaughterhouse than rearing your own

It would work but you will end up with it smelling after a while cant you run it a little further away and put 5 gallon tub as a sump to collect any straw and silt that way the soakaway will work a lot longer

I have a lot of american hatch hens running with a few black and reds cocks and a couple off duckwings they all interbreed but boy the fight only at breeding time after that they all keep to there own little patch around the farm and all roost in the trees i would say they are virtually wild
