  1. Joe, you are being naive; Scotland wouldn't have ANY control over "your" pound. It wouldn't be "your" pound; it would be the UK's pound, and interest rates, revaluation, devaluation, fiscal easing, etc would be totally out of your hands. If the UK economy was booming, the B of E would raise interest rates even if Scotlands economy was in recession, pushing your ecomomy even further into recession. I'm all for Scottish independence, but the people deserve to know the truth of what could happen.
  2. But why would you want currency union, Joe, when it would mean your fiscal and economic policy would be dictated by a foreign government ? What sort of independence is that ?
  3. No Joe, thats the estimate from the IMF and others, even Labour have pledged to end the deficit within 2-3 years of getting to power. You are beginning to sound like Salmond now, with his exagerations and scare stories ! LOL !
  4. The UK deficit, (the difference between what it earns in taxes and what it spends) is indeed 121 billion, less than half the deficit it inherited in 2010, and on course for a surplus in 2-3 years.
  5. Latest betting is; YES; 7/2. NO; 1/6. The bookies rarely get it wrong. Latest poll; YES; 43% NO; 57%
  6. The Treasury and the Bank of England have guaranteed the entire debt of the UK, even if and when Independence comes. After independence, the two sides will sit down and work out Scotlands share of the debt. If Scotlands refuses to accept any of the debt it would be economic and political suicide; no lender on earth would trust them, the country would be a pariah.
  7. Joe, it's been said that Scotland could still use the Pound, even if the UK said no; much like Panama, Ecuador and El Salvador use the yankee dollar. Do you REALLY want to model your newly independent Scotland on those Banana Republics ?
  8. Looking out my back window I can see over the Tyne Valley, and they are building houses on the Derwenthaugh, a flood plain of the Tyne. Ive lived here 60 years and seen the haugh flood many times... Are these people crazy ?

  10. Is it drontal you use, or copy ?
  11. Pickles the Tory mp has just said we shouldn't use aid money for the uk floods, it's better sending it abroad to help tackle climate change which will benifit Somerset !!!! Let's remember this shit when voting.
  12. Why are we still sending aid money to China, a nuclear power and one of the worlds biggest economies ? Why are we still sending aid money to India, a nuclear power with it's own space program ? Why are we still sending aid money to Pakistan, a nuclear power and the biggest terrorist state in the world ? These aren't rhetorical questions... I honestly would like some one in government to give us some answers !! Huge parts of the country devastated by floods, but they aren't foreign lands... if they were you can bet your life we would be sending everything we could; remember the
  13. Are they prints or paintings ? Are they signed, dated ? The second one, (3rd pic), I had as a print; it was worth about a fiver, the frame was worth more. If they are paintings or signed prints, take them to a local auction room, they should value them for free.
  14. No mate, it's nothing to do with warpaint. Henna has a tradition of being an antiseptic and a coolant, also some think it hardens the pads, but none of this has been scientifically proven. It's more of a Beduin/traditional thing; the more modern Arab breeders don't bother with it.

There's a simple way to make the Cups more competitive and ensure managers play their best teams; Winner and Runner-Up in the Premier go into Champions League, third and fourth go into the Europa League, The two Cup winners go into the qualifying rounds of the Champions League... then the Cups would be taken seriously ! How can teams that finish 3rd and 4th be considered "Champions" ? By the way Max, did you know Joe Kinnear put a bid in for Messi ? !000 euros and a seasons free entry to the Gate ! He also put a bid in for Rooney; 500 euros and a seasons free entry to the local brothel ! H

Sunderland are virtually guaranteed Europa League football next season, as even if they lose to Man City in the final, City will have, surely, qualified for the Champions League, and the runner-up, Sunderland will get the Europa place..... or have I got it all wrong ?

    Fao The Mods

Once gain, this is just my personal opinion from what I understand,; Joe seems to have trolled the internet, found a site with 40,000 + members, many who are Scottish, and thought it would be a good place to plant his pro-independence propaganda. As I have said previously, I'm in favour of Scottish independence, but without the lies that Salmond and the SNP propagate. Please tell the truth viz a viz the keeping of the Pound and the other links to the UK. Either FULL independence or stay part of the UK, no devolution "sort of" !! All or nothing !!
  18. This will be the big turning point in Newcastle's season; best defender out, (Coloccini), best midfielder out, (Cabaye), best, (only ?), forward out, (Remy). Three VERY losable games next; Sunderland, Chelsea, Spurs. Only signing so far; a loan who hasn't played a full game since APRIL !!! They won't be relegated but mid-table is probably the best they can hope for.
  19. Staffy Boston English French Plenty Bull Terriers to use, just make sure you pick the type to suit YOU !
  20. I still don't get it; is this guy a dog thief or a dog peddler ? Both are scum, but surely a dog thief is the lowest of the low ?
  21. Buy low, sell high; isn't that the mantra for everything from shares to antiques to basic commodities ? Buy something at a Boot Sale for a quid, sell it for £100, RESULT !! The problem seems to be with dogs... I know people who buy and sell horses, birds, etc, and do it to make a profit. If some one buys a dog and it doesn't suit him, why shouldn't he make a profit when he sells it ! By the way, I have NEVER sold a dog... bought a few, but they usually see their days out with me, but as long as a dog goes to a good home, what's the problem ?
  22. In an interview fat Sam said west ham were the better team and were just unlucky as newcastle wernt very good!! What game was he watching? It couldnt be the same one everyone else was watching!
  23. No need to EVER hit a dog; and hitting a dog on the nose is probably the worst place you can hit a dog ! The nose is full of nerves, chambers, etc, that can be very easily damaged.
  24. Not all coursing lads are stupid; the ones who actually DO buy and sell dogs for tens of thousands and DO run big money matches, don't advertise it all over the internet.
  25. As with conformation; some people will say they have seen dogs with bad feet that were absolutely great. There's always the exception to the rule, but how much better would these dogs be with good conformation and feet ?
