  1. Was out last night up on the estate I shoot over. It has been around a month since I had decent weather for shooting - rained almost all May and have been tied up with various tasks in June until now. Had a reasonable night - managed about 60 rabbits. Main rifle was my HMR at ranges up to 150 metres, but round animals was using the .22 with subs. There are obviously loads of very small ones around now so accuracy is everything! Could have had a lot more, but there are a lot of people up and around just now so some areas you just cant touch!   2. People slag them off, unfairly in my opinion. It does depend what you want to use them for, they won't deliver the consistency of a bolt action BUT remember what you are wanting to use it for. I had a cz silhouette, traded it for a 10/22 all weather. Absolutely delighted. It is handy, accurate enough for lamping and very reliable (i use eley subs). You do need to keep the working parts clean but its no big task. As said above, trigger is terrible. I got a trigger kit from midway uk, took 10 mins to put in and groups tightened up really nicely.
