    I went out to look for a deer, it was my last trip on the fallow. I arrived at first light to find a herd of fallow of about 30 grazing out in the field. I looked through the binos just to see if there were any prickets or bucks amongst them I could see there were 3 and one was feeding out to the right i estimated the distance about 90 yds. They had no idea I was there thank goodness so I put up my sticks and took my time I got myself ready took aim, you could hear the thump as the bullet hit the deer but he run on for about 60 yards then dropped i had hit him a little low but in the lungs.

    i have just bought a sako 30 06 after years using 308 and 243 a friend of mine as been using one for about ten years he talked me in to buying one so far so good only been out twice 7 deer 1 fox cant be bad

    couldnt agree more i have paid for stalking its the only way some can get stalking and its no different to buying a driven day on pheasants or buying a days pigeon decoying its the old saying you get nothing for nothing in this world i am hoping to go to south africa next year got to pay for every thing out there thay want £1150.00 to shoot a buffalo some people have got the money to shoot things and if thats what thay want to spend it on so be it, it goes without saying i am not shooting one its going to cost a small fortune but if its what you want i cant see the harm in it if i had 6k t

    i went out in the last week of the doe season to try out my new sako 85 stainless steel synthetic 30.06. and to catch up with the last few does of the season with a friend we arrived at the wood for first light for what turn out to be an uneventful mornings stalk not seeing any deer i was making my way back through the woods to meet my mate by the truck still optimistic and looking for my first deer with my new rifle. as i walked along spying through the woods i could see a roe doe about 140 yds into the woods on further inspection through my binoculars i could see she was an old doe so i pu

    no fallow are still in season roe bucks come in season in april

    thay were piled like that only for a few mins because it was pissing down we had a puncture they were taken off the back of the truck so we could get at the spare wheel none of the meat was affected. come on now have none of you ever piled your kills up like that ( rabbits, pheasant, pigeon, fox ) ok maybe not deer you dont shoot that many in a morning but they are dead and before someone goes on about respect for your quarry i have nothing but respect for what i shoot, now come on, dont tell me, none of you have`nt done it
