  3. Bit late in the season for me as birds and now down but if ur still looking later in the year then pm me could sort a day or 2 out flying male or fem gos or Harris hawks
  4. Ditch the questions above and find a mentor all the rest will follow Harsh advice but best advice IMO Area you from btw ?
  5. Find this funny everytime I see a post about HH and telemetry Simple reason for that is I have used my Marshall set more on my FHH that is persistent bugger more then I have the gos She would tail chase pheasant until she had them same with hare , most HH give up but she never would . Even perfect weight and excellent recalls So in my opinion it's a must on all BOP
  6. Hi [bANNED TEXT] my brother breeds HH which are nice sized birds in Nottingham and usually has a clutch ready to go by then there nice sized birds Males fly 1-10 to 1-11 normally Females fly 2-6 to 2-9 normally I'm sure he hasn't filled his order book yet
  7. If he's the lowest he's been I wouldn't wait get him to the vets
  8. Harris hawks down and will start with a male fin gos next season so bored stiff threw the moult lol
  9. Think I have a spare if still needed ( Nottingham )
  10. Male Harris won't take pheasant like a gos don't think that is a argument that anyone wants to have but , I have owned 2 male and 1 fem Harris and found males can take in there own way. I've seen males chase across fields until pheasant has returned to cover to then get the kill. But the majority I have seen taken is from a tree whilst dog or beater flushes them
  11. A friend of mines male was flown for 2 seasons as a pestcontroll bird at pidgeons , he found it hard to start him on rabbit . I advised him to finish every session on a healthy feed on the dummy bunny , which he did for a good 3 weeks . First bolted rabbit after that he nailed no problem and has just finished the season by taking 82 in total . Not saying this will work for everyone
  12. Gratz in the hold but think bob got dates wrong wink wink
  13. Sparrow hawk which has just taken up the offer at spec savers . Where's his second pair ?
  14. Thorns please dont think I'm ripping ur product off because I'm not just my personal preference , I'm also well aware this could also happen with leather just I feel more comfortable with leather

    Occupations

Easy I work for myself so if I wanna get out then I book work in around it
  16. Sounds to me that ur friend did all he could in trying to prep a newbie before selling him a bird , which in a lot of ways shows good character of your friend anyway as he's obviously not money hungry and just selling a bird on a wim. Also it sounds like this bloke was inpatient and one of these people that as soon as they get something the think there the expert now and not willing to listen. It's just such a shame that a bird has ended up in the middle of all this
  17. I used to use these alot fantastic bit of kit , but my personal preference is normal leather as the braided ones on one occasion ended with me having to climb a tree to retrieve a tangled bird
  18. Well seasons over too many young rabbits about . So both HH away and being fed up, for now back to boredom lol But start with male Finnish gos next season can't wait
  19. Hate these sort of posts the best I can say is both birds have good and bad qualitys it's down to the falconer to bring out the best of that perticular bird Both good on rabbits Both mug feather (mainly) In English the choice is yours lol
  20. Shame u live so far away I would of been happy to take him out for a day
