  1. Could be a number of things. My friend's spaniel started like that and the vets discovered a heart murmur. Take it in for a check up and if it is anything at least it can be nipped in the bud at an early stage rather than going unchecked and possibly getting worse or more frequent.
  2. Keep them separate and only together under supervision for a while. Dogs usually forget about this type of thing very quickly but if injury has occurred and the incident to the extent you described I'd just keep them safe rather than sorry.
  3. A dog's bark serves two purposes. The main one is to call for back up as the dogs is unsure of the situation, the secondary one is to ward off potential threats. It sounds very much like the first instance with your dog (as with most). You say she barks at things until you go over and settle her down (calling in the back up for reassurance) but what happens if you call her away? Does she come to you? If so put her on the lead and walk back towards the object of her attention. Does she begin barking again or not?
  4. A gamekeeper was patrolling the grounds of large house where he was employed, when he came across a man with his arm down a rabbit hole. As he approached and poked the muzzle of his gun on the mans back, the man turned round, the gamekeeper recognised him as being the local vicar. GAMEKEEPER "Vicar!!! I am surprised at YOU stealing rabbits". VICAR "I'm only catching one for my tea" GAMEKEEPER "But you must have over 50 rabbits there. How did you manage that?" VICAR "If I tell you my secret will you let me go?" GAMEKEEPER "I might do, now tell me how you do it." VICAR "Well before I come

    The Gloves

A young man called Derrick wanted to purchase a gift for his new sweetheart's Christmas present. As they had not been dating for very long, after careful consideration, he decided that a pair of gloves would strike the right note, not too romantic and not too personal. Accompanied by his sweetheart's sister he went to Harrods and bought a dainty pair of white gloves. The sister purchased a pair of panties for herself at the same time. During the wrapping the shop assistant mixed up the two items and the sister got the gloves and the sweetheart the panties. Without checking the contents the yo
  6. Looks to me like that rabbit has made a perfect retrieve. Struggling a bit swimming with a dog on it's back but doing a good job all the same. Nice rabbit you got there IWW, I'm sure it'll bring you plenty of whippets.
  7. It's simple. A dufus/tunnel trap pulls the loop up though air apart from the centimetre of loose earth on top by which point the loop has the momentum to penetrate the earth easily enough as the spring is strong enough and designed to do so. The mouse trap spring is only designed to propel the arm through air. It isn't designed to deal with low hanging sods of turf. It's not been designed for the job in hand and isn't marketed as a mouse/mole trap and leaves so many options for an inhumane catch.. Horses for courses. I like to see how you'll seat the trap in the tunnel so as not to
  8. I thought all of that Hoo-Hah was about Shevchenko and being the son Abramovich never had and pretty much saying to José "I pay the wages around here I want him to play" even though he was a disaster in the premier league and the style of football Chelsea played didn't suit him so he was never going to get the service. Was that not it? If it was his panache for boring football why have him back if he's going to have the team playing boring football again? Weren't the fans asking for him to come back as well and sorry to see him leave for Inter in the first place?
  9. So if not José who? Who would the Man Utd fans want to see as manager? We kind of know fans of football clubs want Moyes to stay :D
  10. Define entertaining football Gnasher as Jose's GD record is pretty good? GF GA GD 1002 364 +638 His win percentage is 67.35% in as opposed to: Moyes - 44.64% Wenger - 53.68% Pellegrini - 50.37% Ferguson - 58.23% Allardyce - 39.86% Benitez - 50.87% Mancini - 55.78% Martinez - 40.18% You can't say he's not up there in the best of the best. Im not saying he,s not up there with the best,he is...........but his football in the big matches is tediously effective........im just a football fan and as a neutral i want to see a good game when the best c
  11. It's amazing what you can find when you smash a few keys really hard :D I don't know all of this shit off by heart, feck I wouldn't have time to do anything else. I just look up stuff folk say i.e. "the big four "game results.

  13. Wayne Bridge couldn't make the Fulham first team. Shaun Wright Phillips played just as many games under Jose as he did for the next two season (one more at Chelsea and one at Man City). He struggled to make the QPR team for a while. Scott Parker's career has hardly been prolific with any team he's played for. As for Cuducini he refused to leave Chelsea and instead stayed on even when he was third choice. That was his choice. He could have pout a transfer request in. Still, he played more times fro Chelsea than he did for Tottenham.

  15. He does now but he didn't to begin with. 150 home games undefeated in a row and a trophy every year pretty much. I'd say he has his pick of teams to manage. Porto ain't exactly a small team in Portugal.. Funny how fate turns out.. The thinking at Chelsea before they appointed him was that whoever won the CL final that year would be approached to be the next Chelsea manager with funds available that were unheard of at the time. It was between Mourinho at Porto and Deschamps at Monaco IIRC.. Porto won the final and Mourinho was selected. That Porto even got through to the final against Uni

  18. I lost touch with football a few years back, I still read the odd bit here and there but no where near as much as I did when I was playing. I thought that Jose was pushed from Chelsea as he refused to play certain players that Abramovich had "favour" with. He went to Real and had a good run there but the Chelsea squad were always crying for him like lost puppies. In the meantime he was being asked if he was going to take the realm at United after Fergie left and he would deny it in typical Jose way. Given his track record of keeping stuff close to his chest and having an ego the size of J

It's a bit late so I apologise I missed your thread. Hope she's managed it.
  20. If none of the public voted there is still a parliamentary ballot that is taken and is valid so it would go down to who the MPs voted for.

  22. There are no rules in fishing except what the fishery put up and the EA law. Other than that it's all down to how the fish want it. The vast majority of fish I've taken on a suspender buzzer are tied as a skinny buzzer. If they don't take that then i swap to a shipman's tied with a foam core or a deer hair body and coloured with a marker pen - unsinkable and you can re-cast all day with them knowing it will still sit the same in the surface. One of the best sessions I ever had was during a winter snow shower. I was dropping a suspender buzzer in that was just a skinny black body of va
  23. So, according to our elected leader, humans only started working as a collective group 2,000 years ago? How far removed from reality can one person be? There have been countless civilizations before the birth of Christ and even Christ was delivered during the rule of the Roman Empire. If we didn't work together as a group for the benefit of all then we simply wouldn't have got to the point of coming down from the trees as you can't live on the ground with predators about unless you have a look out to warn you of approaching danger therefore "Looking out " for one another. These morons
