Hi My mother has bred Italian Greyhounds for over 30 years...if you what you really want is a working dog, I wouldn't recommend it. If you want a pet, who you can take out for a run, and they might catch rabbit - go for it. I have witnessed IG's catch (and kill) a rabbit as big as they are...leaping up in the air out of the grass to keep it in sight....they were so proud, and didnt understand why I was laughing at them. Really appreciate the following up on the pedigree's...it is good to have this history documented...all the showy pedigree's are up on PawVillage, but it is the coursing lines which are continuing the functional Saluki and are so important. So I have moved back a few generations now, and Cruise is tracked all the way to the desert except for the lines from Xarifa Zalla and Merizel Sakkara Tani who are 8 generations back. Thanks for the info and the pictures. Fantastic looking dogs! Fudge is the full brother to Mister Strike and Princess Rebecca, who are in the third gen of my pups pedigree. Hi Hoping you guys can help. I am about to get a Saluki here in Australia which goes back to Pharo/Kizzy lines and I am putting together its pedigree, and Paw Village runs out on the coursing line.
