  1. your first post did get me thinking actually and as far as iam concerned you used a suitable calibre and bullet. performed two accurate shots. perfectly safe with good backstops. and provided a good service of deer control to those that needed it. prehaps the picture was going to encourage a bit of contraversy but i think its a shame how people just jump on the band wagon and put you down. by reading your comments it is also easy to see that you are well aware of the laws regarding this matter and have not breached them in any way. atb gossy
  2. shotgun in barn= bad idea!! stand outside the door and chip a stone onto the roof the pigeons will fly out and theres your chance. alot safer. as for rats youve already said youve got an air rifle so there you go.... alot cheaper to use. atb giossy

  4. Does that mean that nearly every add on here is wrong ?? and they should read " A big mongrel for sale, could have long legs and run fast," or "A wee mongrel for sale , might fit down a hole in the ground ??" Lurchers and terriers are types that are recognised for what they are but yes in essence all mongrels and most ad`s state bullx ,saluki x or collie x, and not being advertised as greybull or greyuki`s or any other bollox the word lurcher is known to mean a crossbred of runnning dog and another breed , the reason the spanador and yorkipoo and various other bullshit names have come

  8. everyones got there own opinion on this one mate but i think it all depends on the situation, with clays i believe a shot size 8 is a popular choice as it means there are more shot in the cartridge,a clay is not strong either therefore does not need a bigger shot size. with regards to grams you may also consider something a little lighter as you will probably be firing alot of shots quickly. with regards to game you have to bear in mind what game you are shooting. a snipe wouldnt need a large shot size as it is small and the extra shot would increase the chance of hitting it. with a driven

  10. i believe mate i may be wrong though but i believe you are aloud to borrow a shotgun for 72 hours on the basis of try before buy. but not rifles. i have definately leant a gun from a gun shop before so it is possible. wouldnt hurt to make sure though mate so i would give your local firearms licensing unit a ring. atb gossy
