    could do with a bit of rain to soften up the ground its just too crunchy at the moment and i need to get my lurcher out to burn of some of the fat he put on over crimbo he may turn into a lazy little fecker if he dont get out soon, whats it like where you hunt any comments on this welcomed alb josh

    well i bought a beddy x whippet in january this year and his progress is coming on ok from the start of this season he has had 12 rabbits retreived live to hand and he has caught 4 but let them go when the season just started ,and considering the area where i lamp is worked to death by other dogmen its not a bad tally so far slow but steady not to mention that he aint been out for a few weeks now due to having no lamp,he is eleven months old now,and i dont work him to death i just run him a couple of nights a week when conditions are right and only take what i need.so how are your pups coming

    got a terrier that works the day and a lurcher that i lamp with but will take the lurcher out in the day with my terrier so both for me

    do you shake your lamp to dazzle your quarry when they are on there toes and do you think its gives your dog the edge over them,i have seen it done but have never tried it,any comments on this appreciated thanks josh

    i own a beddyxwhippet i got this type because he is most suited to the ground i work him on ie small fields where i think bigger types would find it hard to get in there stride,small types seem to have better acceleration imo

    my dad had 42 going back a few years now with two dogs sliped in turn the dogs were a 3/4 whippet bull and a 3/4 greyhound x beddy he said he had to come home though as the mail bags were getting too heavy and he and his mate were drenched with the rain,he said he had six hares that same night with paul71 off this site

    got a lurcher hes nearly twelve months old now and i was thinking of getting a ferret but dont no if my dog will be ok with a ferret any ideas on introducing them i no i should of got one when he was very young but never got around to getting one.do you think i should muzzle him for the first encounter just in case he grabs it?or is that a bit too much?

    alot of the time its the gland needs emptying get some kitchen role squeese and gentley pull its ring piece [if its arse was a clock face ] at about twenty to four . i ask a vet to show me how to do it about 25 yrs ago after he charged me a constilation fee !!p,s dont forget to wash your hands after mate we,ve had the dog for six years and she never done it before i dont think mate,might have to get the marrigolds out then eh
