OK, without trying to sound snobbish. How many keepers are "born the other side of the fence" than you? Most are working class. Get paid a pitance to do a job. Is it a crime to do what you are paid for? (legitimate work obviously). Your phrase "people like us" is a bit class war. I've got a patch of land which I worked bloody hard for. Quite right. So how do you form a balanced opinion when all the papers are biased one way or the other. Even the BBC cannot possibly be impartial as they are funded by the gov't. So if you read the mail its BNP, the telegraph its the tories and the sun.......well I seem to recall they bailed out on the tories for Tony B liar back in '97. So I hardly think they're reliable! There were a couple of "runs"that were used regularly (nightly). I sanded these after putting the sheite down and since there has been no sign at all. am looking now to find out where they have been diverted to! Last few nights being so warmI have even stayed out in the dark with my air gun....nothing!

A few months ago I asked whether ferret sh1t would be a deterrant against rats and that I'd let those who were interested how the experiment worked. So; I spread the weekly contents of ferret crap under my neighbours shed. This I did each week for four weeks. No Rats! Down side is that the underside of his shed does "hum" a bit and in this weather can attract flies. Swampy Ning

OK folks, here's my tuppence worth. Poaching is against the law. Tresspass is against the law. If you get caught you have very little chance of winning the arguement. They can take your kit (including hunting paraphenalia which includes dogs lamps nets priests etc) but have to hand it over to the police as evidence. They cannot keep it. So the options are simple. Risk taking a kicking, Risk prosecution. The shooting of your ferrets and dogs is a definate NO NO from the perspective of the game keeper as he would have to prove that they were causing a nuisance in relation to livestock.

Yeh cool its your land but you lot totally miss the point as i said STRESS & DISTURBANCE can cause serious impact on nesting birds & general wildlife. Its that attatude of its my lad that makes it ok then despite the distress caused that makes it ok fair enough SORRY. Why you think the right to roam act stipulates that dogs should be on a lead at said time of year. Stress is a killer on nesting birds you only need to go to a happy hen/free range egg laying facility to show how the egg production goes down when charlie starts to do the rounds due to STRESS. Would be an interesting look. Especially if it was a wire haired vizsla. I am not an afficienado on breeding but I would wonder how it would affect their temperment. spring and summer is a great time to bring on young stock and pups [bANNED TEXT]... chill out a little lol...people have different ways of doing things hes out with a six month old pup not slaughtering hares on the fens with a longdog!!!
