I would concede to Hendrix puperly on the fact that he was unique. May not have had the finish or versatility of Page but certainly a skill and gift. Peter Green was/is good but not in the same class. Blackmore......again good but still playing 2nd fiddle (s'cuse pun) Beck. Still league two Slash?........c'mon I thought this was a serious topic! Ramones are without doubt excellent. Loved Motorheads tribute to them!........There ya go! Lemmy greatest basist! rgds Swampy Ning with overkill and hey ho lets go

Greatest guitarist has and can only be one of the below. John Williams Jimmy Page Eric Clapton. Personally I really like Ted Nugent although some may call him a guitar masturbater. rgds Swampy ninging with the great white buffalo

Can't say i've had exactly the same thing. Closest was walking back from the pub with my mate (a bit better for being on the right side of a few ciders). It was only when I stopped for a pee before crossing the road to my house, that my mate pointed out that we hadn't seen a single rabbit nor heard a single bird, animal or anything. Walked the route no end of times always see/hear something. The other time was about 45secs before the total eclipse. I was in devon on my cousins farm. Every thing went silent for a few seconds then the geese and ducks went beserk coz they were caught o/s their

A fine and true ambassador of his generation. We should all learn from his example. Thanks for the pictures Swampy Ninging in upmost respect

Ah true, but like i was saying to our lass, a pup is a blank canvas, you can make it how you want. Not always true mate, have been around dogs with what I'd have considered high prey drive most of my life, but the last year has opened my eyes. You can not over ride instinct, you can control it to some extent, but by f**k if it kicks in under the wrong circumstances then you're in the shit! It's a good job I make a good heavy anchor is all I'm saying, even so I was very nearly on my arse. Some breeds are for experienced owners only, God knows what would have happened if it ha

i read in the paper the other day that there is a muslim girls school... i wonder if i was to suggest a only white school, how that would go down? Nothing stopping you sending your girl there! Damn good schools I hear! Swampy ninging on the fence -

Nice one. Yes it does make one feel a bit sad. those days I'm afraid they're gone forever. It is down to you Undisputed to carry on the old ways, I say that because I'm not THAT old! I was lucky enough to be taught by my grandfather and father. Hopefully I will remember most of what they taught me and pass it on to my kids. Thanks for making me feel my age. Sounds like you've hit on a niche market there! Put it forward to one of the independant TV producing companies. You could fill it with all sorts. re runs of Jack Hargreaves spring to mind from a previous thread, one man and his dog, fishing, shooting...the list is endless. Keep it real with rural guff and include the urban hunters, lurcher folk etc.........I reckon you could have a success on your hands. Quality countryside progs are few and far between Goods idea?..........its yours LL! Rgds Swampy ninging lights camera action

Get the council in. Don't ring them, write a letter with a copy to another department or the police. Councils can lose a phone call but not a letter thats been copied to loads of other parties! You've got kids so DON'T do anything that could escalate it to violence. You might be able to handle it but can your kids? You pay your council tax so make them earn it! Good Luck Swampy Ning and bar

Swampy replied to matty73's topic in General Talk
Hi matty73.Iam on most mornings as i am nigtshift as i like to unwind for a few hours before i hit the nest but the dogs are work first weather providing.A lot of the people on the site have been on for years. And have then been banned and come on under a new name.I was put off the site for four weeks and righty so for being an asshole shouting of my big gob.So dont look at the date and think people are looking for some sort of respect. If you dout them ask for some pics as i have a few hundred going back over about twenty years.I think like myself most people come on for the crack. We dont all -

Another case of the victim being punished for the crimes of the criminal. Remeber Mr Martin who shot the p***y? Its time that society got its priorities the right way round. Years ago the tresspassers would have been told "tough shite, don't tresspass then". Now they seem to think that their human rights have been violated. Surely human rights belong to everyone and should be balanced. So to all you gunners out there............be careful who or what you point your gun at. One day a pidgeon will have human rights! good ol' Jack was mentioned on here a few days ago by way of comparison to country file or something. Is he still alive? my memory seems to to tell me that the last bit of the programme was always set in what looked like a garden shed or hide and he would show a strange item and he would reveal what it was on the next programe. Is this right or did I dream it. Have seen a couple of videos at game fairs and the like but they weren't of the TV prog. Proper countryside programme it was. Bring it back, even repeats would be interesting. As for the trammel nets I couldn't say. Its a case of "go

Blimey. Showing our ages eh?. The Sunday session in the pub used to be great! a couple of hours in the pub, back home for 2:30 and Sunday roast (lamb was best) then collapse in front of the fireplace and watch an old black and white movie. Out again at around five to walk the dog and perhaps have a pint on the way home. Winter was best. life was so much simpler then....or perhaps I have grown simpler! rgsd Swampy Ninging down memory lane
