bishop burton college
Lewis_Ridley replied to franco56's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
dont go to bishop burton, i am studying at newton rigg now and we have already had one person move from bishop burton to newton rigg within 2 month of the course starting, from what i hear they seem to spend more money on horses and the whole college is horse based and no considertion or money is put in to the shooting courses. Get yourself an interview at newton rigg or sparseholt -

go onto the national gamekeepers organisation website they have a register for gamekeepers seeking work, people who want an apprentice and for people who want to be an apprentice. i am on this register and i had a phone call from a guy in north wales yesterday asking if i wanted to go down to his estate and do a trial period to see if he wanted to employ me . -
gamekeeping
Lewis_Ridley replied to valleyshunter's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Hey im 16 and this year i started a national dipolma in game and wildlife management at newton rigg, i want to be a gamekeeper aswell, and if you ask most headkeepers they will tell you know they only going to employ people withricultural coll either a first dipolma or national dipolma, these courses are ran at most agicultural colleges. But newton rigg and sparseholt are the leading colleges with the first dipolma and national dipolma. I intend to complete this course and then go into a apprenticeship. good look with the future
