Sorry if this is a daft question but.......... I've managed to get my self a vasectomised hob and he lives with the jills all year round...... is it safe to leave him in with tyhem while they are in season? Looks like I have got 1 or 2 having phantom pregnancies and was just wondering what could go wrong if I leave him in with them. Thanks for your (hopefully) constructive replies.

No limit mate so long as your security is sufficient -
First things first. I think I'd have determined who the bloke was, was he trespassing ? (right to roam doesnt allow him to hang around in the trees). If he didnt have reason to be there and everything was above board you could have called the police and told them there was somebody interfering with a legal shoot (turn the tableson them for a change). Alternatively you could have just advised your farmer to dish out some farmer justice !!!!!!

We have 1 gun available for next season in our N Wales rough shooting syndicate. Shooting every saturday in season, pheasant mainly (good residential stock and 400 birds released each season) but with the odd partridge too. Preference given to guns with working dog(s) must have insurance though. £500 per season. PM me if interested.

mine have always eaten fresh meat but now they wont touch it. would sooner eat dry food, ive chucked them allsorts in, pheasant, rabbit, pidgeon, liver, heart, u name it. dont know if its cos there in season or not? Mine are the same & always have been......... hunt like good uns too. Guess they are all different
