  1. I will take the 300mm rapid mounts PM sent..
  2. I try to be sensible with reply.s, I just wont mention the police again..
  3. Ahh well i'l stick to just browsing then..is there any wonder...
  4. I agree it is a namby pamby society in many ways, but we are fighting an ever increasing amount of bad press this you must agree on? you SEEM to miss the point that if you are doing something legal you have nothing to hide so where is the problem? And the fact is can aid YOUR safety in the field, and safety is always first however you look at it. It's not about if you have to tell them, it's the point that it does no harm to do so and in fact that it could actually help our sport/job. I'm not going to enter into one of those forum arguments about this, but rather than point out to me that not
  5. Maybe you should post a little more then perhaps some of your replies won't be so long winded and complete over-kill. I was under the impression this was a free country and we SHOULDN'T have to inform the police that we're off out to perform LEGAL activities. Just the reply I expected!! I would post more but I actually go hunting not just sit at a computer talking about it..Telling the police about your legal activities doesn't at all change anything about it been a free country! As I said it's been part of society, of which I put an example, which obviously made it a too longer read f
  6. The single best thing that could happen to "legal" airgunner's is that everyone of us informed the local plod where with what and when we were shooting. As it would show statistics that there are many more responsible shooters than irresponsible ones. Rather that signing on-line petitions every time a little chav b*****d shoots his mate or neighbours dog etc and the papers get the story and brand every airgun owner in the same way..They all go on statistics these day's so why don't we give then the real figures? If you done inform the plod you are either LAZY, STUPID or ILLEGAL.. maybe all thr
  7. Night vision is cheating.... Improve your field craft and you will feel a lot happier with the bag of bunny's when you get them. You can actually shoot wearing a Hi-viz!! it's un natural, too much and too fast movement that they are wary of. I had the very same situation I laid my 5ft square of camo net in the gorse bush above their warren for a few days, then placed it 35y away at about 3am, so I knew my range as soon as I got in position, I steadily want back just before dusk taking an hour to get where I can in 5 mins. I used my Ledray tactical 400 scope lamp with green filter and bagged
  8. I must agree it is very click'y almost gay. I think they have meets where they dance with sticks and have bells on their socks..
  9. I have had the GL2 it is a good bit of kit, but I changed it for the tactical 400 and it's a lot better, the green filter is fab too. All you need for airgun shooting not the 50 million lumen to the moon and back beam stuff that everyone seems to feel is needed. And perfect in the barns for pigeons and rat's. I think it's a perfect little bit of kit for the ranges we realistically shoot with sub 12lb/ft air rifles. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deben-Tracer-LEDRay-Tactical-400-Lumen-170m-Lamp-Kit-/280587908601?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item415457b5f9#ht_559wt_1139
  10. I have for sale due to been messed around by a gun shop in Cornwall.. Two scopes they are both brand new in the boxes, the nighteater has never been out of the box. The Targetmaster has been put on a AA EV2 to zero the rifle, then put back in the box. So both perfect condition. I bought the AA EV2 a while ago, to find the previous owner had mounted the scope with ill matched mounts and damaged the scope tube. I sorted it out with the shop and they agreed to replace the scope. While waiting a stupid amount of time for this replacement to get to me, I bought the Targetmaster and the BKL mounts.
  11. Perfect deal well happy with scope, trusty seller as it should be. many thanks..

  12. Yea mate,I take my hat off to you for keeping your cool.. It makes my piss boil when I read thing like this.. I bet the bloke is a right perfect example of the human race too .. Ho no he can't be, he lies to kids!! what a Tw*t..
  13. As marksman said every gun is different, but I am using Bisley Magnums in my .177 HW100 and they dont half whack... But take note these do push my gun very close to the legal limit, at around 140-160 bar of cylinder presure.. They are 10,4 grains fairly heavy.. I also use FX but not done much with them yet, hunting wise. But they seem to keep the ft/lb down around 11.4. they are 8.4 grains.. It's an often debated science the old what pellet for this gun lark.. But I have clamped my gun in a black&Decker workmate, set a 5 circle target at 30 yards. and put 6 pellets of each type at di
  14. Superb little gun!! I have found the extra weight of the HW100K an advantage over the AA S410K that I had. I can hold it much more steady.. As this seems to be the big issue with the HW100. Also the side lever is way better than the bolt system, there is no 'knack' to it. just pull the lever job done!! Wallnut stock too, two 14 shot mags, and super quiet. And now with quick fill, A little more expensive than the AA but worth every penny..Stick with it chap you will be smitten just like one's self.. I got the sporter stock as I think the TH is just too over engineered.. looks real bulky and o
  15. Can anyone tell me where I can get a spare cylinder for a HW100K quick fill type? anyone know someone who has them in stock? Christ it's as bad as trying to find a Crombo chrono.. althopugh I have sorted the latter, the HW cylinder is like the Scarlet Pimpernell...
  16. Hi chap, you won't be disapionted.. they are a superb scope.. I had one on my AA S410. You may find the SR6 reticule a little crowded. I did at first, but once you get set up and get used to it, it's fantastic..I prefer it to standard mil-dot by far.. just give it time and you will be well happy with your purchase, happy hunting chap..
  17. I got my Rowan Engineering trigger for my HW100 today, and what an improvement!! Feels so much better than the standard one.. It reminds me of the trigger blade on my old Logun Axsor.. I always loved the flat trigger of that gun.. now I have it on the HW.. well happy.. I recommend it to any HW100 owner that hasn't already got one fitted.. http://www.rowanengineering.com/products8.htm Super fast post too!!
  18. Hi chap, I will be going there shortly and I will check see what they have for you, it's always a bit of a lottery but shouldn't be a problem..I will PM you as soon as I get some info..Cheers, Mark.
  19. The scope I am using is a, Hawke Sidewinder 30 4x16x50 IR with SR6 reticule.. and very nice it is too..
  20. Cheers guys, I am lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful Cornish countryside to shoot on..Thanks to a very good friend of mine.. I had a walk over there today too without the gun though.. It was just stunning.. I am currently sorting out a hide a bought from a local army surplus company.. They have everything in there! But real proper stuff though. It is mad I could spend so much.. Good for camo clothing, nets, allsorts really..For example I got a 8m x 8m camo net for £32!! I thought that was a steal..It was used but good condition.. I will get some photos of some of the
  21. Here is the firsy kill of this year for me. A hen Pheasant.. And it was with my new HW100KS .177.. Shot it yesterday after aboult half hours mooch. I was well happy to christen the gun with this. I was using Bisley Magnum pellets, they seem to be really good.. I haven't looked into threads about what pellets these guns seem to like, but I am guessing the heavier, like 10.4 grains are the ones.. I have some FX pellets at 8.4 grains but not tried them yet.. any guide on this would be aprechiated.. Hope you all had as enjoyable weekends as I have had..
  22. Hi chap, as a kid I used to go to a friends farm, where his dad used to have a few mates over for shooting comps and general air rifle shooting stuff.. As daft as it may sound, he set up a Poly Tunnel for the range. It was cheap and worked a treat for sheltering against wind and weather.. Obviously a misplaced shot will go through but surely it will take a repeatedly bad shot to cause any real damage.. He also had a lerge shed what was called " Le Grand Bunker" where they used to sit and talk shite and sup tea.. very basic but it was a fantastic set up that was really popular with his frien
  23. Hi chap, go to this website.. www.hawkeoptics.com And download the BRC software files. they will send you an email with two files to download.. These are two graphs that you can put in your pellet weight and ft/lb of your gun plus other bits of info.. And it will show you the arc of the pellet.. very usefull tool.. even if you are not using Hawke sights.. It looks a bit technical but it's easier than you think..
  24. Here is my new weapon of choice...Weihrauch HW100KS .177 fitted with Hawke Sidewinder 30 SR6 4x16x50 IR..Also as you can see, I have put a Ledray GL4 tactical light on there.. And YES it does weigh a bit but I am comfortable with it and been getting some real good grouping at 30 yards, freestanding and supported.. so I am really happy with it..
