  1. Just wondered how many lads who claim to have Johns breeding actually have dogs that are %100 out of Johns dogs or are %50 or less. Been a couple of years since I seen a lad who has dug with John but he said at the time there's very few who do have his breeding & most of his pups are put out to a very close friends of his & most go to Ireland. He reckoned most who claim to have his lines are either lying, kidding themselves or have been misled.

  6. It's an interesting subject this, seems the scottish/welsh/irish have a thing against the english similar to how the blacks still hold a grudge against the whites for the slavery they endured even though it was f*****g years ago
  7. not a chance mate had a 12v 17 amp battery an only got about 5 hours out of that.thats wos running a light force 170. good luck wth the sale anyways Don't believe everything you read, that would be 5-6hrs lamping switched on twice an hour lol. with 2x 12v7amps maybe.... but no chance with a single battery If you look in the countrymans weekly,Arthur carter fieldsports do a lazerlite deluxe lamp with a 10 a/h battery stating 5-6 hours lamping. So 11a/h shouldn't be too far off.

  9. There's no way you'd get 6/12hrs lamping out of a 11amp battery unless you're using a torch. A 14amp single battery would maybe give 1&1/2 - 2hrs max with a 1 million cp lamp. Have you actually used the batteries before?
  10. Shame you didn't just give the young dog a chance to see what he could've made. Just cos you're paying over £300 for this new dog don't mean it's gonna be a world beater, experienced dogs who know the game & are doing it well rarely come up for sale but best of luck anyway
  11. Good job you asked first mate & didn't just use it
  12. Chimp you're fooking loaded & could afford a new pair each season, regards Adrian
  13. You made the right decision mate, although a difficult one. It would've been a selfish person to have put the dog through all the crap involved with surgery. Fair play to you, chin up
  14. Is it like a metallic grating noise? If so I'd say rear UV joint, cheap enough to replace if you DIY. If not this it could be your pinion shaft is out of alignment, either way a garage should be able 2 tell you once up on the ramps
  15. I MYSELF DONT THINK THERE IS COMPLETE ANSWER EITHER, ITS A CHANCE YOU TAKE, STILL I WOULDNT BREED OFF A YOUNG TERRIER THOUGH THAT IS UNDER 2 YEARS OLD, SOME GOOD POINTS ON THE TOPIC WOULD LIKE TO READ MORE YIS CHANCER What about a terrier just over 2yrs, I can't understand your reasoning as there's so little in setting that age as a limit. Say a dog starts at a year old & you were fortunate enough it was this age at the start of the season so has a steady 1st season, after a summer layoff it turns 2yrs at the beginning of the following season & has only completed one full

  18. There's no way a Trooper will give 30mpg, they are big, heavy, thirsty motors which you' prob get early 20's to 25mpg if you're honest. I've got a 2.0TD LWB Vitara which I get about 35mpg & they are far lighter & more capable offroad. With the rear seats removed there's plenty of space for dogs & gear.

    anti

You just have to be aware that there are anti's, coppers & RSPCA shitbags constantly monitoring this site. Why do you ask, have you reason to believe you know a possible anti on this site? If you have proof I'd say name them
  20. Lets not detract from the fact this idiot posted a load of bullshit in the 1st place.... Lets not spoil it with sensible replies lads
  21. One thing I would recommend is changing the straw for bales of T - bag bedding.Try an animal feed suppliers. The dogs bodyheat seems to dry it out once its been wet & lasts alot longer than straw. We buy it from a pigeon feed supplier for about £7 per bale & it lasts ages http://www.recycledproducts.org.uk/view/endproduct.cfm?saleable_id=10752&ss_id=448
  22. The dogs we use are domesticated and have been for 1,000ss of years so i dont think you can use wolves as a comparison. No ones saying feed them pasta day after day.I think we can know say carbs do play a part in the working dos diet.atb Catcher The only reason they play a part in a dogs diet is due to the commercial food manufacturers. Using carbohydrates as an energy source has benefits for the manufacturer and consumer. Carbohydrates are less expensive and more readily available as an energy source than proteins. Carbohydrates are also essential in the formation of dry pet food. The sta
