  1. Just finished my DSC1 and really enjoyed it. I did the DSC1 in Perth with Paul Crehan who was very good and full of amusing stories to make the course fly by. It is nice to do a course with someone who is so enthusiastic about the topic and willing to go above and beyond to ensure the course is enjoyable. I am looking forward to getting back down there for a few days on the Roe and start practising for the DSC2.
  2. Picked this up yesterday, .243 Remington 700, Swarovski 6-18x50 with Harris bipod. Got it set up today and hopefully have a good weekend with it next weekend.
  3. None of my dogs get anything on the list but most of it is common sense anyway.
  4. I am not looking to get rid of it just wondered if they were any good as I am just getting back into shooting and was upgrading my kit but looks like this is a keeper then. Thanks. I would be interested to know why your friend chose the swarovski over the Gray & Co just to see where the difference lies, I do not know the cost of the Gray & Co but I imagine the Swarovski would not be cheap.
  5. I cannot believe no one has had any experience with these. According to their website they sell these to most Estates in the UK I was just hoping for an unbiased opinion as their website will obviously sing its praises. I can't find prices on their website either.
  6. New prices- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reticle 4 £593 Reticle 4A £593 Great Scope how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking as I have just bought a second hand Swarovski Habicht 6-18x50 which looks like new.
  7. Phil, Not picked it up yet, hopefully have time next week and I will let you know.
  8. Its the classic three draw scope I believe 25x50 in a leather carry case, no one have an opinion?
  9. Probably been asked before but did a search but no luck. Just wanted to know what you think is the best round is for roe and red in .243 for my new Remington 700 SPS-V. I pick it up next week and will get a few rounds to try out for setting it up but thought I would get your opinions first. Thanks in advance.
  10. I was given one of these new about 15 years ago and I have just come across it whilst doing a clear out. I have taken it out today and was amazed as it still looks and feels brand new but I suppose it would as I think this is probably the 2nd or 3rd time I have taken it out of its case. I just wanted to get an opinion on these telescopes as I have limited knowledge to say the least.
  11. Sorry double post! I am a techno biff.
  12. Just a quick hello. I have just ordered a .243 Remington 700 SPS-V (factory threaded) and a Swarovski 6-18x50. I am just starting out really as I haven't been shooting for 15 years when I used to be a stalking ghillie at Mar Lodge Estate, Braemar. I am really looking forward to it and have booked myself on the DSC1 to get me up to speed. I look forward to good advice and general help from the forum and hope that once I get a bit of experience I can give as good as I get. Keith
