  2. Well after getting my variation back earlier in the week i spent a few days ringing around shops to see who had what in stock and who could get me what at what price. Anyway today was the day i was to strike and ended up buying a gun from one shop and a scope from another. I left home at 10 for the 1 hour trip up to Northalerton shooting supplies as they had the gun i was after in stock. Its a stainless synthetic tikka t3 in 6.5x55 and was picked up at a very reasonable price and was on the one hour drive home. I was at home got a quick drink and was off to York guns to pick up a second hand S
  3. Well im over the moon to say the least. Just check they post box and my FAC was in there back from its first variation and i have been granted both the .223 and 6.5x55 that i was after both of them with sound mods and both with 100 buy 120 hold. What is best is that they are both open and thats especially good as it was my first centrefire. I am going to get out to a couple of RFDs and price up some set ups and then will have to scrounge the cash together. George

  15. Well i am putting i for my first centrefire in the next day or two and i am split over what to do. I like the idea of a .243 as it allows me to have one rifle that i can get to know and have more money to spend on optics. However it would be a rifle not just used for fox and roe but Red stags come this august and fallow sept/october time with more and more deer as time goes by (i am going to have a lot of time on my hands over the next 12+ months). So do you think a .243 is enough for the likes of reds and fallow and sika? i know that it can be done but what are your views? the other optio
