I am 62 and have always enjoyed being outside in the country.

As a young boy I would go onto the hills by myself and watch the wild life. I mean young 8- 9 years old. sadly that is not really possble today. In those days I used a catapult and river stones!!.

As a young teenager I would go out at night often by myself, watching badgers and foxes.

Then I started working and family ties became my priority.

Now the family have grown up and have there own families I find I have time to go back to my roots.

I have permission to shoot on a farm for the purpose of vermin control Rats Rabbits squirrel and crows. I have found that much has changed in 45 years as far as equipment is concerned but the basics of fieldcraft learnt by me as a boy haven't, yet I am still learning. One thing is for sure practice makes perfect.
