  3. Was watching one of the police programmes on the other week on sky and they were following a car that was lets say not being driven in a straight line, she was not driving fast at all, but she was all over the road, they pulled her over and the driver was a woman in her eighties, they opened her boot and found loads of boxes of wine in there, she was an organiser of the local wine tasting group, they breathalysed her and she was positive, she protested her innocence saying that she had only had the wine in her mouth before being spat out and demanded a blood test down at the station, they agre
  4. For those of you who have been around all the big Gamefairs over the last few years you must have seen the impressive demonstrations by the various stalls selling the top quality frying pans all made in Germany, in these demos absolutely nothing at all will stick to these pans, Woll is one make, another company is Run Cookware, there are more as well. If you have ever bought one how do you rate them, they dont come cheap, the price for a 28cm deep saute pan with lid is £112.00 on the Run website, i bought the above pan from the Midland a few years back now for £79.00, i have found these

  10. Nice one Vim, good to get feedback on all the boots out there, i've had the Gamekeeper boot from Altberg which i had problems with water penetrating them and stitching undoing, and have now got the Meindl Dovre's, they are a quality boot, but after 1yr i had to send them back to Bramwell International, because of the stitching undoing inside the boot on the lining, and a hole in the tongue of one of the boots, they have now sent me a replacement pair though, interesting to hear your comments on the leather cracking in the Meindls no matter how well you look after them, i looked after mine with

  16. Update on my Meindl Dovre's one year on, Whilst cleaning my boots last month i noticed a small hole had appeared in the tounge of one of the boots, i also noticed that the stitching inside the boot that holds the lining together directly behind my heel had come undone in one of the boots. I mentioned this to Tredders, the company who i purchased them off, and they advised me to get in touch with UK's importers of Meindl, which i then did, they asked me to send them back to them so they could inspect the boots themselves, i have heard off them this week and they have agreed to send

  18. Speaking to the guy from Country Covers up at the Midland, had a chat to him about my Falkland trousers and how the water had penetrated through them, he said yes the water will come through if you walk through cover with them, or if you kneel down in them. What you need if you are going to be walking through cover or kneeling down in them are kneepads sewn into the trousers, he said send them back to us and we will sew the kneepads on for you for £20, had them back this week and they sent me a brand new pair with the pads sewn in, and a fantastic job. 25. Anyone know where i can get the micro battery caps for the mark 1 8ft ferret finder, i have tried Johnson Fieldsports and Arthur Carter with no luck, so i gave Deben a ring, lady said yes we've got them in stock £5.50 a pair, asked her what would the postage be, £6.50.... .... .... she replied for something weighing a couple of grams, you could probably send them with a first class stamp, the postage on them is taking the piss dont you think, i'm also after a 8ft sticker for the wheel as well if anyone knows who has got any, i'm sure John Huberry, the guy that makes the kennels said he had
