    Mate of mine is selling up, He has 2 fly rods, 4 or 5 reels, 2 landing nets loads of flies I think he said over £70 worth. and a lot of other bits and bobs. I beleive a lot of the gear is brand new,he will take £150 for a quick sale and face to face only.. If anyone is interested Pm me and I will pass on his number for you. thanks..

    No she has no daywork,she has started marking rats,and has had a few down the bottom of the garden amongst the chooks. Dont get me wrong she has her exercise in the days just on the playing feilds,where there is no rabbits..

    I have a Greyhound/whippet X bedlington. She is just over 2 years old now, She is catching and bringing back live to hand on the lamp, but the problem is if I slip her and she fails to catch she just buggers off nose down and just switches off. I have seen her chasing rabbits into hedgrows and dissapearing into the thick of it and dragging the bunnie out . I have tried switching off the lamp, she comes back after a while but disturbs everthing else around. I think it could be the beddie coming through with the obediance levels. Any thoughs you lads can give us. It frustrating and bloody

    Has anyone lost a ferret due to feeding rats,or is it what has been heard through the grapevine. I have a ferret who is nearly 6 years old, his main diet is rabbit, rats or dryfood if the rabbits are in short supply. Never had any trouble with him,in fact I will continue to feed him his treats.each to their own I suppose.

    You will need to cover the trap if its wet. Although you see rats in water ,they do dry off. When a rat is caged in the rain it has no protection from the rain and cannot dry itself. I had a monarch trap with 7 rats in .It rained all night and all seven were dead in cage by the morning. Peanut butter is good,I have had plenty of success with bread too.. Put some outside the trap too, give the rats a bit of confidence in the trap..

    Depends how much you want to spend first. go for second hand if tight for cash. You looking at £200 plus for air arms S200 good gun nice and light. Theoben rapid 7 pretty heavey you can pick up for £450 and upwards. The H.W 100 is all the rage at the moment,If you have the cash thats the one to get.

    Unfortunately antibiotics don't work,especially on a virus. Keep the dog contained,and away from other dogs,it does spread like wild fire. It only lasts up to 10 days,keep the dog from running about,and give the dog some children's cough medicine. Its horrifying to see the dog retching and bringing up that white frothy mucus,but don't panic ,it will soon ease.

    Sounds like the bitch is a bit stressed. Most probably your dog will go all day,but if the bitch is not happy she wont let the dog enter her. Look at it this way,the bitch is not familiar with you or your dog or the environment upon which she has been brought into. Lock your dog up, spend a bit of time making a fuss of the bitch,she will soon gain confidence in you,and soon she will settle down. And finally don't interfere with the mating process leave the dog and bitch alone just keep an eye on them, and make sure that the session is successful. Hope this helps .

    Trappa,You are not alone mucker, Im down to five hens after a recent nightly fox raid. Im only getting two,three max a day, and that was before the raid.(with one light sussex and 4 red warrens hybreds) I tried a few tips but still the same production. I have had rats,that stopped them laying for a week.Just sat there with the night vision and rifle and picked them off from the bathroom window. They are very finicky creatures if there is something they are not happy with,they wont lay. Its just trying to pinpoint the problem,thats the maddening thing.

    I have done so for years . Just empty out the contents of the stomach of the rabbit,and feed whole or quartered. Its one of the best sources of food you can give your pooch buddie.

    Did or have you made a visit to the doctors yet. Has the doctor diagnosed you with depression.

    They are very temperamental things. Make sure they have plenty of straw,and make sure they are having greens. Clean drinking water is also essential. I have only had mine a few months,out of five at the moment I am only getting one egg a day. out of three layers, the other two havent started laying yet.

    I would have said Red warrens are the best layers. I had 3 off a chicken farmer I know. I think he had at the time over 4500 free range hens there. All the eggs go to some large supermarket.

    A pair of magpie decoys is a must. Make sure you are well hidden they are extremely intelligent and will spot you before you see them . Set them out with a rabbit fur or dead split squirrel,rats they love. Set the deeks as if they are in feeding mode and sit down quietly and wait. Good luck.

    I have fed raw rabbits ,chicken wings ect to my dogs for years. Never had any trouble. If I feed the dogs biscuits through the Summer months that's when they get the squirts. I know its a change of diet suddenly,but much prefer the raw diet. I make sure that any rabbit,that I get I will gut in the hedgerow for fox, I make sure that the intestines are removed and most important the s***bag. I had a bitch once who had a litter of 5 pups on the go. after finishing her quarter of rabbitt an hour later she entered the whelping box and threw up the rabbit she had eaten for the pups,that's nat

    Hello, better start posting before I get booted off. Been reading a lot of posts on here over the last week and found some of the Questions and banter hilarious. I Know a few names on here from other sites, and hopefully will be introduced to new members as time goes by. Well been a member of the Countryside alliance for the last five years, I like all field sports,Lamping with my beddie/grew. I got a couple of beddies that i work too.
