The weihrauch silencer will last about 3 shot with a hi powered Air FAC i know this for a fact! When i get my Air Ranger back from Daystate! (if i get my Bloody Ranger back from Daystate) i'm going to be using this the Whisper quite expensive but at 80ftlbs it made a difference so i'm hoping at 60ftlbs it will make more of a difference and the guy who runs the firm has asked me to go to the factory and he's experimenting with balistic felt and he want to try that in the whisper for me. i'll let you know what its like as soon as i can. http://www.wildcatrifles.co.uk/index.htm

The one I use is the "Ultrafire" from Fleebay just over £20 and it comes with a charger and 2 batteries and its said you can see the light from it at over a mile away! All i know is no one can look into it and the heat it produces will keep a family warm for a week! lol

LOL, we at least you are OK! Springers are the way forward Or flint knapping to make spears with, but if you can't find any from the stone age i spose the next best thing would be a springer!! :D :D

Well i tell you something that's really scary, On another forum i'm involved in there is actually an Admin who says that you should NEVER phone ahead, How scary is that!!!! He even said that he'd been almost shot twice by other shooters on his shoot at the same time as him! it Beggars belief! How can people believe that it could be safer to keep it a secret if your out shooting!
-
I have to tell my Gamekeeper that i'm on the land I think that's sensible, but I have heard other sides to that what do you think is safer? I am lucky to have a monster of a shoot and there could be shot gunners rimi users or center fire users or ferreters on when i'm on, so what my GK does is separate us, so there is no chance of me getting my pretty little head removed! But some people think that you should just trust the other people on the shoot to be experienced enough not to take your head off! i'd rather not take the chance what do you think?

I had the HW80 and put the weihrauch silencer on it £45 the best sub 12ftlbs moderator that there is! the best thing to do is take your rifle to a gunshop (one that you deal with a lot) and have them trim the barrel and thread it and re-crown after i had that done on mine it was incredible but if your after quiet you really should be thinking of a PCP my S10 and Scorpion were almost completely silent I kid you not mate! you could have 2 pigeons sitting next to each other and you could take one and the other would sit there just thinking "wheres Percy gone?" you then let him know, honest

Hi Tango, I have had a S10 Bull Barrel for year now, yes they are a tad on the heavy side but i can assure you that if you bought one, you would love it as much as I do and also Celticwar He really and i mean REALLY loves his one they are very well engineered bits of kit, and as long as you send it off to the Master, John Bowket it will be even better he gets more out of the rifle in FAC than even BSA can he has his own FAC regulators. he would strip it down and take it back to its component parts he would then replace any silly factory parts which are not as good as his are, only the odd was

you say that he didn't have the magazine in the rifle which, was good do you know that even if your mag isn't in the rifle but you have pellets in the mag that is illegal in its self! You must always have your rifle in a case when you transport it, but judging by the amount of replies you now know that

I had exactly the same problem with my HW80 altogether the length of rifle and silencer made it about 53 inches long which is daft if your only 5ft 7 like me, i had the barrel cut and threaded & re-crowned and then with the wiehrauch silencer fitted it was the same length as the original rifle there was No loss of power No loss of accuracy and it Wasn't any louder and with the silencer it was whisper quiet Do it but take it to a good gunshop to get it done properly. Each to their own, but cut and thread is not cheap, the barrel is that length for a reason and the consensus seems

What you have to do is sample as many pellets as possible, whats good in my rifle is probably crap in yours and the other way around! find what ever gives you the most consistent groupings. Out of my S10 Bull Barrel I shoot Super fields or Bis Mags you really have to see which one will do the job the best good luck

Well i went to Wales and bought the beast It's in perfect condition it's incredibly LOUD, I SAID ITS INCREDIBLY LOUD I have been firing it and i think you can tell! But even with a little SAK silencer on it it sounds a lot quieter 300 miles torrential rain 60 MPH winds and cliff top driving and I think it was worth it my wife thinks i'm a loony (you lot can keep your thoughts to your selves!!

What day you going CW? -
No thats great mate don't you worry the next time i'm taking out a German sniper i'll keep that in mind! cheers for that Although it has been proven by the Mythbusters that you can't take the shot that he did and get the baddy the guy in the bell tower? was i bit of a steep angle to get a shot at some thing so far back i thought! What they proved was, that you can't shoot through a telescope and get somone in the eye the bullet would be deflected, they even tried to do it from about 3 feet away with a high powered rifle and it defelcted every single time!

If you stick with the same hands and don't try and swap then is is very awkward and takes longer..if you try and swap hands then you have to learn to shoot again...I'm struggling with this...a 300 mile trip to look at a gun with the bolt the wrong side....it must be a very special gun or VERY cheap...a none starter in my book but you obviously have your reasons.. It's an almost £1000 rilfe for £565 and its a classy Air Ranger I'm not sure if i'm trying to convince you lot or myself really!?
-
Spot on i have to drive a round trip of 300 miles to get it and was getting a bit nervous, thanks Grim i'll let you know what it's like
-
I should have said that its an ambi stock so that should make it a btiny bit easier? an Air Ranger .22
-
How difficult do you think it would be to own and use a left handed bolt loading rifle if you were a right handed person?
-
Your joking only £300

Anything over 12ftlbs is obviously classed a firearm, but they are all lethal in the wrong hands!
