with most corvids the answer is, to get there before they do, but know the lay of the land get yourself tucked away and let them come to you and when you get the chance use them as decoys so prop a couple, theres no better deeks than the real thing

Its a shame when this sort of thing happens, because lets face it forums are only as good as the members they have! It seems to me that the Admin's should be dealing with more of the idiots! i stopped coming on for a while because of posts about using Rimfires to shoot birds out of tree's and the Admins just let it run!! so i can understand where your coming from!

As the title says really but with a very happy ending!! Ian is a good mate of mine who is buying me something alcoholic as we speak! I Text my Game Keeper and asked if i could pop over and have a go at the crows! and he simply replied "Kill them all if you want" well i don't own a gattlin gun so a few will do me

I have recently purchased a new jacket, I first saw it when Rabbitstalker (a chap who has made a couple of stock for my rifles) came to visit the "Deerhunter Montana" i have had various other jackets and i'm not putting them down in any way but, (and theres always a BUT) they have all seemed to miss something. well i've been looking on various sites and didn't really fancy buying one second hand, so i ended up on Ebay, and there are lots of people selling this style of jacket but then i found "Montrose Gun & Tackle" selling them for £99 i have seen them for sale for anything upto £179 so

I was in my dive shop today and they are charging £29 -
Well i have had several reasons to get out i have a new Deerhunter Montana jacket and the new mount turned up for the cam so why not! It started off really wet under foot :? but there initially looked like the was plenty about although most of it wasn't settling anywhere but i thought its way better than being indoors for another week. not a lot happened really i ended up with one pigeon which isn't brilliant but it very much better than a sharp poke in the eye http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo4IX2FcB50 i also managed a very rough blog but it'll get there, even if its your grandchildren

Whats the eye relief like with an extra 5" on the back of your scope? it can't be a very natural feel being so far back on the rifle? cheers TC

Hi Kev, I tend to shoot no further than 60 yards, to make sure of a clean kill. Now it was a very different story when i had me 80ftlbs Ranger!!!! out to 100yards but only on rare occasions. and as for the trajectory .22 as flat as a pancake

Hi Dave do you have a thread that shows how you are getting the pictures through you MTC? Cheers Matt

Well the first thing was, it was nowhere near as cold as i thought it was going to be went to the same area i have been to for the last few trips of 09. but as i drove in there was 2 other guy's one with a MK2 rapid and the other with an AA of some sort! oh well if the GK wants to let others on it's his perogative, anyway i got to the area and saw a fair few bit on the drive up to it so i was reasonably encouraged. Wasn't in too long before i saw a pigeon the daft bugger actually looked at me and then looked away  daft sod! one in the box so i carried on through and not seeing too
-
Cheers Davy I did notice that i tend to put myself down, i'm probably doing it before others do though! cheers man

All you need for succesful lamping is something like a Deben Tracer with a cigarette lighter atachment (they come with one) and the power you get from that with or with out a red or orange filter will do the job I lamp with one and in the last 4 trips have taken over 40 bunnies

Ahhh they are kissing! Good shooting mate

Went out with a mate of mine Malc from the Verminhunter Forum to have a look at a newly discovered field i thought it looked just right for a few bunnies and WOW!!!! was i ever right As soon as we turned up they were all over the place Malc had brought his Rimfire to the party and me with my FAC Ranger we knew we could be on to a good one. As we got to the new field there were 9 just sitting there we bagged 2 of those, then we moved on to another area and bagged another 2, we then moved back to the new field an bagged 3 more we then moved back to the beggining of the shoot an got

Both have good and bad points Dive bottles need filling from time to time, are bulky, need an annual safety inspection This is incorrect! you only need to have a dive bottle checked every 5 years! and its about £25 to £30
-
It's best you didn't buy it anyway as the fact that you owned it would have been breaking the law even if you intended to get it chrono'd and de-tuned you have to have a FAC to buy a over powered rifle so the answer should have been. DON'T buy it! There are millions of legal air rifles out there so why buy one that could have get you 6 months in the knick and a £5000 fine? But you didn't get it so all's well
