Jock Brandon was well known in the Central Scotland area for his love of all thing "Country" and passed away after a stroke at the age of 83 on New Years Day. For those in the Central Scotland area I will post detail of his funeral service when known, that would like to pay their respects. Regards Eddie Brandon

Mate, it's miles away from Glasgow, it's nearer Striling, in the Trossachs on the road to the Lake of Mentieth. Here's the post code to the estate: FK8 3JY Here's the place on a map; http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?sourceid=nav...=1&ct=title The village of Cardross [that you may be thinking of] is between Helensburgh and Dumbarton not to be mistaken for Cardross Estate. Hope this helps. YIS

Couple of choices and speaking from experience [our families done this before in taking dogs from people thro' neglect] As Kay say's they're not going to miss it?! Depends if you or your "mates" are hard lads compared to the character that has the animals or you can intimidate the crettin's into handing over the dogs. If so, You take them! or You only "threaten" them with the RSPCA/The Law and take them? Either way, if you love your dogs and this way of life, you don't stand back and hope the lazy b@star@rds change their ways, no chance [they haven't completed the X-box game yet?] Ever

Kelvin Valley and Neilston show dates?
Covenantor replied to clachan's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Polecat with a "D" ??? It's not to bad! Auld Jock's still going strong. Couple of nice patt type's in his kennel, with his two lurchers, they're showing the work they've had, broken hock on the bitch and some nice barb-wire scars on the black dog. Terriers untried and £uc@ing anti-social [a bit like Jock ] Don't know if i can make the April one, elsewhere but should be OK for Aug. YIS Covenantor [aka Whippet] -

Here's a link to a THL Forum page just on boots - some iffy reports on Le Chem Mouflon. I've just bought my son a pair of Handwags from Ebay, but Lowa's take a beating and some guys back this up. Lowas or Meindl Dovre! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...79835&st=15 In response to the other posts regarding Cabelas. The Post Office [Customs & Excise] take in every third item, as they don't have the resources to scrutinice everything. So you have a 1 in 3 chance of buying something from the states and paying futy on it - Good Luck. Here's the cables boo page. Like a sweet

no he called the pakistani a paki and his other mate was all wrapped up with a rag on his head and he said he looked like a rag head. He was just stating the obvious in my opinion, no harm in that. Oh i see, he called the Pakistani a "Paki" Just stating the obvious? If that was you or I who stated that, we would then be up for the High Jump............ As little as it may be, he deserves whatever press thrown at him! Friend or no friend, prince or no prince! Artic, HAVE A F@&KING WORD! It's a 3year old video and the officer cadet in question took no offence!

Hi mate, welcome to the site, i'm new on here too, but one of the first things i did was buy a book from a good terrier man on here - "Johnny Bluck" called Breaking Through. Here's the link to the forum page; http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...0&start=300 And a link to his ebay page; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BREAKING-THROUGH-WORKING-TERRIER-BOOK_W0QQitemZ190279323743QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Books_Fiction_GL?hash=item190279323743&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 It's a very well made book on a limited run - signed by the author.

It might do for some mooching but the better type for lamping or racing the dogs is the Toggle Slip Lead, with a samll handle and nylon draw rope that pulls back the catch. Check out this website. I got mine a few years back at a Lurcher/Terrier show in Ayr. £20.00 - i think http://www.jansgifts.co.uk/itempp.php?code...&type_id=10 £31.00 + P&P or £25.30 for the lighter version. Best of luck

Hi John, Bought the book through your link to Ebay - striaght forward but only recived it yesterday morning, [saturday] - away getting pissed in Perth for Hogmany [us Jock's like a scoop] The book is now read! [sunday]. As for feedback, a very well put together book, capturing your memories and giving the young ones some sort of legacy at least? With regards the making money, i've no problems with that, nobody HAS to buy it and indeed you'd better start writing "Hairy Potty" novels to make serious cash! A bt sureal in reading someone's book and sending them a message half-an-hour later, be
