  1. It seems he wants to back off a bit for THIS fight, which i think is fair enough as he got humiliated last fight and he wants revenge. Imo this is an honorable way to react to a defeat as he has many easier options such as defend his title, wait for dos anjos, etc all would generate as much or more money and greater glory but he wants revenge. Whatever money McGregor made the ufc made much, much more... I think dana white is great for fight fans and people comparing match ups to wwe are way off the mark imo but i think he should have given his number 1 draw card some concessions this time. I d
  2. Monkey trying to call the tunes for the Organ Grinder. That's twice now Mcgregor has over estimated himself, against Diaz and now Dana. What's earned McGregor all the money so far isn't his fighting style it's the hype, it's his press confrences that's why he's paid the big money, now he still wants the money but doesn't want to generate the hype? Diaz is he Ken Norton V Ali
  3. in the cold and wet a bit more fat on the dog is as important as coat, too light and they suffer in the cold, visa versa in the heat.
  4. I've met the very best of people through terriers and hunting.
  5. Pure Patterdale, surely it's a line bred bull cross by now?
  6. Morton you were a soldier doing your job at that time. I don't agree with the political policy that sent you there. No one should take that as support for the policy or actions of the pIRA, INLA, UVF, UFF, etc. etc. etc. The biggest protest march ever in the UK was against the invasion of Iraq, the majority disagreed with the policy to send soldiers into Iraq, to get killed and maimed and pull out achieving noting. That's not casting aspersions on soldiers carry out their orders, but disagreeing with policy.
  7. What a pile of ignorant pish, ignorance and the ignorant,as yourself, are the biggest danger to Democracy, there is not one single sentence in your post that stands up to fact. Everything I said is fact. Northern Ireland had no historical or geographic precedent. It was set up to create a majority. Gerrymandering is undemocratic. The British army was sent in to protect it, not catholics. Any pish above feel free to pull it apart.
  8. I was born into a Democratic society, possibly because of the actions, suffering and intent of many of my predecessors, the voting process in the society we live in gives not only the individual but the Town, the County or the Country the choice to alter the said democratic process to affect change. When the majority put their democratic choice into action the individual, the Town and the Country follow suit. When the minority wish to alter the Democratic process with murder and intimidation then democracy is fecked for all.The ballot box is there for all, possibly why the majority in Northern Ireland
  9. Fox bolter you are talking about theory, we are talking from experience. You think beagles can't keep up on a fox hunt. But some people know from experience that in tight cover beagles are the faster. For many packs where I hunt, the fox is found in cover hunted in cover and might only ever break cover for a 100 yards before getting back into cover, if it ever breaks. You think foxhounds and Harriers are faster than beagles here? Crawling on their bellies for an entire hunt. But you don't know, you've never seen it, you've zero experience of it. But yet you think you know. Wel
  10. They can be sometimes, but sure you know yourself if you're following on foot that's not always a bad thing. Their hunt country though has very, very little open country. It's mostly steep sided glens with tight cover, old quarries with loads of tight cover again and acres of Forestry. Not much top speed galloping, but some music.
  11. That's not right, they often run full beagles from the RFB ( they get through the tight covers a little quicker) and they'll run some foxhounds too from United, to hold hounds at a mark.
  12. So you're just making stuff up to make your point? Things are done very differently in Ireland. It's legal for a start. Maybe that's because we do things differently? Maybe it's legal because we have very poor packs? Foot packs are the most popular, the IMFHA reckon there's over packs of hounds hunting in one county alone. You couldn't imagine how differently things are done in Ireland. Look how the guys in the clip above are dressed,it's a long established, registered and respected pack but they're dressed just like normal people, not like the Heythrop or Blencartha (and I've hunted
  13. Here's a pack of some pure harriers, pure beagles and half crosses of the 2. They are the Wednesday pack in the report below from the hunting festival. Beagles for foxes? who would have thought.
  14. In all the pages on this thread arguing about KC V's Hyrid V's this dog and that line. This man did this and they're not that bullshite Are there any digging bedlington types out there anywhere?????? Or should they go with Unicorns in the dictionary?
  15. The guys obituary is probably not the place to discuss rumours etc. RIP the old guy seems he bred some good ones and bred whats behind most of the good black dogs in the states now.
  16. Would have to, no one could afford to work 2 of them.
  17. Nigger was bred by AC and left in Eire after a wknds digging in the midlands for obvious reasons. He was then worked for a long time by the men who AC left him with and eventually they sold the dog to TP for breeding. Bullshine, good dogs are never sold.
  18. But IMO those who are good at working their terriers nowadays are better than those who were top of the tree back in the day.I genuinely believe there's not a single thing that any of the so called legends of yesteryear could teach a good terrierman of today. That doesn't mean I haven't got respect for them ,I do but there's better today, both man and terrier. You think guys about nowadays could teach Buck and Breay and thing or two? Or Nuttal? He was digging in the 50's and 60's it'd be interesting getting his opinion on it. I think from the 60's for sure and maybe further back guys we

  20. Nah, Neil dead now, made it to about 14, he's 12 in that picture and wasn't retired yet. Digging to sons and daughters of his now, 2 of them in my avatar.
  21. I love this picture, my little niece 5 years ago, a long summer's day, with the dog warming his old bones in the sunshine, near the end of his long life of working, a good hardy terrier, constitution of a camel type of dog, NuttalXCowan on top, D Roberts below.
  22. I was talking starting difficult dogs to start, this dog is different.
  23. If the next step would be to cull it, then I don't think it'd do it more harm than good? If it's to sell it on as "untried" or some other give it another season at the shows then by all means do that.
  24. What bit don't you understand? I would do whatever I needed to do to get a young dog started. Or to put it another way before giving up on the dog. Some dogs are slow eaters, put another dog near them and they'll scoff it down, some are slow to go to ground but would fly in ahead of another dog you let run at the entrance even if on a slip. For loads that'll be enough to carry them all the way to meeting the game, then that dog is started and you can progress from there or go backwards, their choice. They might still be shit, but I like to make every effort. Would I enter it with anothe
