  2. [Great ,man to deal with, thanks Para1
  3. I'm thinking any of the ones in a show ring are there for rosettes? i'm thinking any of the guys who have gone out and bought little G-string, collars and leads are there for rosettes. anyone who's trimmed a terriers tail so it's head looks bigger is there to win. Or are they all entering dogs shows for some other reason? They don't hand out foxes at shows do they??? Bryan
  4. I HAVE NEVER ONCE MENTIOND ROSETTES, THE TERRIERS IVE PUT UP ARE THE ONES I LIKED, , IVE GOT LOADS OF OTHER THAT FOR REASONS I CAN NOT PUT ON , WHEN I FIND OUT HOW TO PUT UP CONVENTIONAL PHOTOS THERE ARE TERRIERS BEFORE THE DIDGITAL AGE ALL SHAPES AND SIZES, NO ONE SAID THAT A TERRIER HAS TO LOOK GOOD TO WORK OR VISE VERSER, COLOUR, BREED,DONT MATTER, EVERY ONE TO THERE OWN, Take a digital picture of your old pictures, I'm saying those dogs are there for rosettes, and they've been bred with half an eye on rosettes! The number of shows in Ireland has increased hugely in the last f
  5. I wish i could look at a picture and tell if a dog was worth keeping or not. Find it a bit harder than that, the better looking a dog is the harder i find it to believe that they were bred with just work in mind. I know the ugly b*****ds in my avatar weren't bred with an eye on rosettes.......... B
  6. If you want the best get the barryvox pulse box or the pieps advanced. if you want good kit for digging to terriers take a look at the sticky above. Bryan
  7. Only takes one muscle to frown, corrugator! But Botox can cure that......................
  8. we only pull the p*ss because you got the matching underpants
  9. f*cking sickening! 8 terriers! should be easy to stop if guys weren't prepared to buy dogs from anyone. F*ck sake, Cork seems to be getting hit an awful lot recently Bryan
  10. if the dog jacks and is a cull, can you claim on your insurance? £8.09 a bargain! Bryan
  11. DF if your using different collars with different boxes you'll get different readings the B+F collar and box are 1.0 is 1 metre same with D3 box + ortovox collar 1.0 is 1 metre but if you have different kits you will get 1.0 at 2 foot, but it will always be the same reading so 2.0 is 4 foot with that set up. After a few goes you'll know what your reading means the range on the B+F collar is 65yards and on the Ortovox it's 45, so you have to expect the boxes to be colibrated differently. the Ortovox collar although having only a 45 yard range, it's easier to pin point as for a tiny moveme
  12. if he gets to like work enough he'll soon forget about hounds. I've often been out where hounds couldn't be kept well back and it never effected good terriers. It might make starting a young dog slightly more challenging but nothing stops a good terrier. good luck with him, Bryan
  13. It was some craic alright, good to get in at 2 in the morning before going out for a dig again at 7 the next morning. in future you need to only shoot uphill, and avoid over taking on a continous white line,LOL B
  14. get the name right ITS TUGGY PRICK.. Did you mean to use a comma or full stop after Tuggy? As in it's Tuggy, Prick. Or even it's Tuggy. Prick or is your new alias, Tuggy Prick? But remember too much Tugging and you'll go blind!
  15. try these links http://www.beesoutdoors.nl/telemetrieprijsE.htm http://biwakscharte.de/index.php?XTCsid=fc...facturers_id=24 http://www.jagdhunde.de/shop/product_info....50159022ca06bf1 http://www.waidwerk-international.com/prod...tion/index.html i got mine from the states, but they are only allowing them for military use now!!!! fighting terror underground i guess
  16. how the hell is it £15 P+P for something that weight 40 grammes????? there are a few European suppliers
  17. for minor cuts and scratches nothing will beat the sprays, either Granulex V or Debrisol a doc wouldn't give you a script for AB's for a few small cuts. B
  18. Bosco we have our own government in Ireland and they haven't banned foxhunting. Did you miss that? B
  19. i don't know where your getting £15 P+P, but i got my Tx box for £45! it's half the size of the B+F,has a more solid switch, and a better casing . but the big saving is in the freedom to get any 457KHz locator! and it introduces a bit more competition to the market, now b+f are looking at making a smaller collar! funny that
  20. i don't know about stuff like this. the badger trials in Ireland, that people love to talk about only brought attention where it should never have been. Lurchers and lamping are best kept low profile and QT. No need for comp's or any shite like that. heads down and mouths shut is the best way to hunt and keep hunting.Have fun amongst friends if you want a bit of craic but i can't see the benefit of a lamping competition? Bryan
  21. one of the "Yanks" has a topic up on the lurcher page here where he is getting jack rabbits, coyotes and treeing Bears and mountain lions with a lurchers, i think that'f make an interesting read in any magazine. wood chucks are one thing but they've got fox, badger, racoon, skunk and plenty more! some of the best articles i've read in the magazine recently have been Gary Foster's hunting in the states B
  22. thanks Cupid, i just got online for the left hand landing and then the Khan't landing on the canvas
  23. that sounds great, just one question, what type of lettuce was he making the noise of?
