  1. "Last nights operation took place between 6.30pm and 1am this morning" I wonder how to get around that? We need any sightings of suspicious vehicles or people to be reported to police immediately so that we can take action To justify some Overtime money before Christmas?
  2. Start him when the dog is acting like a dog rather than a pup. It can be tempting to try bull blooded dogs a bit earlier, but their style usually needs a bit more mental maturity.
  3. Looks like he squeezed up well, his foreskin got pulled back? a friend had a dog that used to do it all the time, if you didn't wash it and get it back in place it could hurt the dog a lot in the following days. good going for a second dig
  4. I have guns that are 100% with kids, but i'd never leave kids alone with them or any dogs.
  5. the only box calibrated to the ortovox collar is the Ortovox D1. Any other box will give a reading of 1.0 at approx a foot and a half. When your used to using it it's very simple and more accurate than anything else. Bryan attached 7 foot with Ortovox collar, breaking through to the collar, no trenching in, no coming down on the side, thought it best to let the game run before taking a picture
  6. we hope...makes me fcukin sick She wants to do that her choice, the horse had no choice. fuxing unbelieveable, running dog or terrier has a choice? Fox,rabbit, Hare?
  7. some of you idiots should join this crowd and get all the cruelty to bulls stopped. http://www.league.org.uk/content.aspx?CategoryID=312 just get them to take it easy on hunting, because hunting animals is totally different, this is how they see terrier work "We have campaigned against ‘terrier work’ for many years, and through this campaign we’ll step up the pressure. ‘Terrier work’ is where a terrier dog is sent into a fox earth or another form of fox habitat to get the fox to bolt so that it can be hunted. We see this as little more than a dog on fox fight, and w
  8. Is that very important? More people concerned about keeping sh*t pure rather than keeping it working is what finishes it for working dogs.
  9. plug the pot into an electric fencer?
  10. looks top class to me! Spain is a great country that isn't bullied by other countries or the opinions of the daily mail. The fighting bull is a Game animal, unlike most of the wild animals we hunt? All livestock is raised to be killed.
  11. Looking on the working sealyham site, it looks like they only hunt rats and rabbits with a "pack"? WTF has that got to do with working terriers? A terrier is meant to be a digging dog? For £850 a pup i bet he comes across as genuine. I think there are people looking for two different things on these sealyham threads, some are looking for Sealyham type single handed digging dogs and others, for KC dogs they can call "working terriers" but.................
  12. I thought it was booth that lived in Tipp? was Mason there too?
  13. I'd be surprised if Online Shopping was the best way to get a working wheaten. If you've never seen one work or know nothing about the breed or lines . Why do you think you want one?
  14. Last month's EDRD had some big strong sealyham type crosses in it.
  15. I've never cum with a terrier :wankerzo4: but if i ever try it i'll get a plummer
  16. Give those Chinese a break, they are only Kids!
  17. bedlington sealyham jack russel lakeland border wheaten staff start by tearing up the rule book defining a working dog by a physical standard only. Breed whatever remaining workers exist in these breeds together cull hard and keep going.
  18. the type of russels i use, and have used were local, its what was used here before the black stuff became fashionable, its what i started of with and stuck to it,old habits die hard,i have also kept blacks and still do,i have no personal preferance of size, shape or colour as long as it does an honest days graft, and have been lucky enough to have seen some good terriers doing there thing over the years, and some of the better ones were never much to look at,but would have a place in my yard any day, Smasher your a disgrace! would you not smarten up that dogs line with a bit of wirehai
  19. get a box that goes to 0.1 or 0.05?
  20. I have no set times for starting a dog, I look to the dog to show me how they are developing and when they need to be started. I look at their reactions to their surroundings everytime i'm out with them. Some will be under a year, some over 18 months( I wait till the summer is over even if it doesn't suit) some will get up to 3 digs their first day out to get them thinking, some will get one very quick dig then more time at home to think about it. The more flexible your approach the more successful you'll be. I have one at the moment @ 20months thats ready to rock when hounds start
  21. They're alleged to be a mixture of Dachshund, EBT, Sealyham, JRT & whatever!!! So definitely a working Sealyham type bred for purpose! Sounds good enough to me
  22. I thought they were never sealyhams just sealyham type looking terriers?
  23. the new box was/is due out this summer last i heard it was the collars they nocked on the head. any news on the box anyone???? Is there meant to be a new barryvox box coming out? What would the difference be? it was ment to be modelled on this i think, minus the bits we dont need like transmitting, hope its not been scrapped. http://pistehors.com/backcountry/wiki/Gear/Ortovox-S1 they are still working with it, but are slow, the main business for all off them is skiing and terrier stuff is a tiny market, but they are looking at bringing it out calibrated for the ortov
  24. dont think bryan sells the barryvox anymore mate. Kye you can get a Barryvox pulse in the states cheaper than anywhere, often they have good summer sales on this kind of stuff
