  1. can only be a good thing, PIEPS are now making a transmitter. The Pieps TX600 is a miniature transmitter for dogs and other equipment (like that pricy sled) that might be buried by an avalanche, but which should never interfere with the search for humans. The TX600 transmits 1 kHz below the frequency used by avalanche transceivers, so it will not be received when searching for an avalanche transceiver. The Pieps DSP (with the version 8.2 update), and the upcoming Pieps Vector, can be toggled into a special mode where they will then search for this off-frequency s
  2. Why not search on Google?
  3. On the lowest setting; 1 light = 3 feet (1 metre) 2 lights= 2 feet 3 lights= 1 foot second lowest setting 1 light = 9 feet(3 metres) 2 lights= 6 feet(2 metres) 3 lights= 3 feet(1 metre so switch to the lowest setting) so the D1 gives depth accurately but takes a bit to get used to and in the stress of a dig people can struggle, unless they are German? LOL
  4. Not really, it takes a lot of practise to get used to, especially when digging. Other boxes are faster and simpler to use, for little extra cost
  5. The terrierman is responsible for his terrier no one else.
  6. A lot of adult dogs being robbed all the time, so I'm sure it's possible to get someone else's good dog that's done a bit already
  7. It's extremely unlikely the dog died from a lack of heat after 2 days? Being indoors or outside would have no effect here. A dog in hypothermic shock would be semi conscious then become unconscious and feel cold to touch. Heat can be lethal to a dog in this state. A dog dying from Hypothermia would be dead in a few hours. I've never seen anyone in a hospital stuck under a heat lamp?

Don't be confused into thinking the IRA somehow ever represented the views or wishes of the Irish people. N

Does this mean that Britain should defend the rights of foreign majorities within the U.K. to call their cities and areas Pakistani? Indian? Jamaican or Nigerian?
  10. Lurchers are only judged on gameness, speed, strike, retrieve are just for historical interest.
  11. Frightening to think guys are fully reliant on electronics/microcircuits/batteries to find a terrier. Shocking
  12. Holding by the scruff on the ground is fine, but off the ground after working it'll cause the dog to struggle to catch it's breath. Great for THL pictures though
  13. That's why I'm asking for info. I don't know where the dog is. He could 10 miles away or in a different country.
  14. Stealing is only half the story, buying stolen dogs is the other essential element. People shouldn't turn a blind eye to dogs showing up without history
  15. This 9 month old pup was taken out by Dungourney at the start of November. Smooth coated male light brindle terrier pup. His ear is Tattoo'd with "U7" and he's fairly bully looking. He has an unusual look about him is friendly but can be a bit hand shy. Serious reward for any info leading to his return. Bryan

  17. A mix of working dogs that produced terriers that were sealyham type in appearance. I don't think anyone imagined their line could be traced back to capt. edwards? Surely what matters is the work these dogs could or couldn't do? Bryan
  18. There's 2 sealyhams, the KC sealyhams that harry Parson has and hunts rats with or the "Sealyham type" that is bred and used for digging, that is typey more than a breed.
  19. The dogs body never " gets used to antibiotics" using inappropriate Antibiotics, inadequate doses and or duration can cause bacteria which are resistant the antibiotic/s used to dominate in that infection. Not using the right antibiotics at proper doses for long enough is what causes the problem, not using the right amount often. Swelling in working dogs is normally caused by mechanical damage (bite pressure and punctures) the dogs inflammatory response, aggressive cleaning/washing and lastly by infection. This is worth a read( a few times) http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index
  20. Just cover the central switch on the D3 with tape, and use the side switch to turn on and off
